We stayed here for five nights and were very pleased with our choice. The Abacourt is ideally situated in a quiet street but only 3 minutes walk for the centre of Keswick and all its facilities. Our room was spotless and very comfortable with en suite shower room, TV, and tea making facilities. Breakfasts were very good and certainly set...

Once again the opportunity arose for a short break and Keswick was our choice. Fortunately we manged to book into the Abacourt, which we have stayed at several times over the past few years. We normally give John a call to book, but this time used theIr online booking for the first time. Easy to use. We were warmly met...

Great location and very large clean rooms literally 3 mins walk from the town centre shops and bars. The hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The only slight criticism would be the cooked breakfast wasn't the the best.. we have had much better at other local B&Bs.

There are clearly lots of good b & bs in Keswick but you will struggle to find one better than this - we arrived a little early and although John said our room wasn't read, he gave us the key so we could let ourselves in when we came back from a walk. Well off the main road but easy...

We loved Kewick and this b&b was perfect location. Rooms and breakfast was great and off street parking a big bonus. We hiked two days and were able to walk everywhere we needed to. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Keswick is a perfect location to do walks in the Lake District. Abacourt house is right in the town centre, 3 minutes walk from shops and restaurants, 10 minutes walk from Derwentwater. We did the Derwentwater circuit, Catbells, Skiddaw, Walla crag walks, all on foot from this location, without the need to use the car. There are 5 rooms in...

We visited the Abacourt House for four nights in late August with another couple to sample the Lake District as part of a visit to Scotland and northern England. We chose Abacourt House at Rick Steves’ recommendation and we are glad that we did. John and Heather are most welcoming, helpful hosts. For example, John was able to retrieve a...
