Well, what a super stay at the Mary Mount Hotel. We popped up to Keswick / Borrowdale for the day, but then enroute decided to stay the weekend. I popped into the Mary Mount Hotel, Borrowdale at 11am, enquiring if they had room availability that evening. THEY HAD, so I booked the last double room, to stay the weekend. Was...

Perfect location on one of the most beautiful lakes with great food and bar, which is very convenient as it's a pretty long walk outside of Keswick. The boat/ferry stops at the wharf below the hotel and so is perfect for the spectacular round trip around the lake. Stayed there twice so far, and will always make a point of...

We enjoyed a four night stay in this beautifully situated hotel in April. Our room was very well appointed with a comfortable bed and excellent view over Derwentwater towards Skiddaw. The varied and filling breakfast set us up for the day and we returned to a delicious evening meal from a well stocked menu. A perfect place for a Lake...

Lovely hotel, lovely setting, staff very polite and efficient. The food is excellent with large portions that will leave you undoing the top button on your trousers, lol. The rooms are well equipped and furnished well. The only problem that we had was the shower which was on the snug side. But apart from that I would definitely stay here...

We stayed at the Mary Mount with our big dog for 2 night break. The room was nicely decorated and had everything you need but lacked space. On the plus side we had a ground floor room with patio doors and little sitting out area with a garden. The bed was huge, superking and maybe a smaller bed would have...

First class service and a comfortable, clean room the Mary Mount Hotel is a little gem of a hotel. The room we stayed in was perhaps in need of a refurb, but clean and tidy. The bar was lovely (and the restaurant served food although we didn't eat dinner) with some excellent local ales. Well worth considering for your stay...

We booked for a 2 night short break and had never stayed here before although we have stayed many times at its sister hotel. A beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location in Borrodale. Taking our 3 dogs was not a problem. Fabulous staff. First class food. We stayed an extra night !! Our fist visit but definitely not our last.
