We stayed here for 4 nights in June 2012. We had selected Room 2 for all 4 days however, were not so happy with the noise of the cars outside on the road. The host, Sharon, was gracious enough to change our room. It was a smaller room, but as pretty as the previous one. We did not regret choosing...

I stayed here with my boyfriend back in February. Just getting around to writing my review now!!! The owners were really welcoming without being fake or too in your face and the breakfast was the best I've had in a B&B. I would struggle to think of anything negative to say about this place. Excellent value for money. I would...

We stayed here over the weekend and it was fantastic. The room was very clean and had a very homely feel to it. The B&B is ideally located as to avoid the busy, noisy town centre, but offers a lovely 15 min walk into the town centre, so is very close without ever feeling claustrophobic (unlike some more centrally located...

My wife and I stayed at Burnside for 3 nights during the Jubilee week and were not disappointed. Sharon was a fantastic host from the minute we arrived until the day we left. Very friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to do in and around Keswick. She obviously loves what she does and it shows! She is...

We stayed here for 2 nights and have to say the experience was 1st class from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect and is a nice easy walk into town centre via the old railway line . We were welcomed by Sharon who we have to say was extremely pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area...

We stayed here during the Mountain Festival weekend and Burnside was a great location for us as it's close enough to walk into Keswick without being in the thick of town. Sharon was a good host and presented us with excellent cooked breakfasts for our 2 night stay. Our room was comfortable and spotless. If you like to stay somewhere...

Sharon and Pete, our friendly hosts, provided us with a lovely breakfast each day and Sharon,s knowledge of local walks was a tremendous help to us! Only 50 yards from Burnside is a lovely secluded walk on the old railway line. This is perfect for walking into keswick town centre. The disused railway line (now a foot/cycle path) is ideal...

Burnside continues to set the highest standards in every aspect of what I expect from a great B&B. The welcome, local knowledge, hospitality and breakfasts are all excellent. Rarely is it possible to find a place where the hosts genuinely take care to ensure that guests enjoy every aspect of their stay. We will be back!
