We had a wonderful experience staying at the LakeSide House. The hosts were absolutely charming and could not have been more welcoming. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated, along with all the other rooms, and the views are breathtaking! It is the perfect location to explore the Lakes and we had the most magnificent three nights! This was our first stay at Lakeside House. We LOVED it !! The location is perfect for Keswick town centre and a brilliant base for walks. We completed the Railway Line walk and the Derwentwater round the lake walk on two separate days, not even having to get in the car ! Our accommodation was perfect, nothing was too much...

My wife and I got married in Gretna Green (after 30 years together) and decided to stop on the way home for a couple of nights 'honeymoon' in the lakes. We could not have made a better choice than LakeSide House. This is not just because having realized we were honeymooners they bought us a really lovely box of chocolates...

Having flown in from Sydney, Australia to Heathrow and heading up to Scotland we decided Keswick would be a good place for a two night stopover. LakeSide House proved to be a fantastic choice of accommodation. Lindsey and staff greeted us with great enthusiasm. Our room was immaculate with lovely views and breakfast was delicious. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Stayed two nights here for a much-needed rest and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lindsey, the owner, had asked if I could check in after 4pm as she would be out until then. When I arrived in Keswick at around 2pm the weather was utterly foul, so I headed to the hotel and although Reception was unmanned, she had thoughtfully left my...

I visited Lake Side with my dad in March as a special birthday treat for him. We are regular visitors to Keswick and have been for over 40 years and this without doubt is the best b&b/hotel we have ever stayed in. The entire hotel is decorated and finished to a high standard, and from the moment we walked through...

Lakeside House is a top quality hotel in all but name. From the highly efficient, friendly and helpful (thanks for the guidance when we got slightly lost) reception lady, to the equally wonderful breakfast team, the sole purpose of the Lakeside House staff appears to be to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The rooms are spacious and elegant,...
