In light of the recent floodings, Strathmore and Keswick is very much open for business! Whilst some bridges are closed, nearly all roads are open as well as most pubs and restaurants! Recent weather has seen crystal clear blue skies and fresh nip in the air - perfect for tackling another fell before enjoying a delicious meal and cosy and...

Stayed in the single on the top floor. It has been recently renovated to a high standard and is light, fresh and airy. The shower room across the corridor is solely for the use of the single room and has also been recently upgraded. Always look forward to the unbeatable breakfast from Simmy. Thanks

We've had a really lovely stay at Strathmore Guesthouse. We've felt very welcome and comfortable. The room very clean and well laid out. What we most liked though was the warm feeling we got from the guesthouse hosts they were so lovely and couldn't do enough for us.

My girlfriend and I booked to stay for two nights in the Deluxe double room on the first floor with views of the church. On arrival we were greeted by Paul the owner. The room I booked was one of the largest on offer and it did not disappoint! A large queen size bed along with a separate living room...

Just stayed at this lovely B&B, celebrating our anniversary, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Paul was a really nice host always with a smile on his face. Only a couple of minutes walk into the town centre, where there are loads of different shops all doggie friendly

We had read many good reviews before we arrived at the Stratmore that led us to book the room and we weren't disappointed when we arrived. We had room 2 which is a large room with a sofa and coffee table and a lovely view out to the church opposite. Some highlights of our trip: - perfect location; peaceful and...

My friend & I stayed Thursday to Sunday in a twin room at the top of the house - what a view! Paul, the owner, seems to do everything including cooking all the breakfasts perfectly. Always cheerful and full of tourist advice he was the perfect host. The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean, lots of hangers, coffee, tea, hot...

Stayed here for 3 nights from 11-14 June. Having read the reviews, I had high hopes and I wasn't disappointed. We were greeted by the friendly proprietor, Paul, and immediately made to feel very welcome. Our room was on the top floor so we had a few stairs to climb but the view across the rooftops and over the mountains...
