We stayed at Skiddaw Grove over a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is convenient, being just off the A66, but at the same time only about 10 minutes walk into Keswick. The room, while not generously sized was big enough and comfortably appointed. Breakfast consisted of a choice of fruit juices; fresh fruit; cereals; full English and... More

The Skiddaw Grove is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Andrew and Diane are very welcoming and offer good advice. The room and ensuite were large, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were faultless. For a small fee, sandwiches and flasks of tea/coffee were available when we went on our walks. We will definitely stay here again... More

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing stay at the Skiddaw Grove guest house. Diane and Andrew make you feel very welcome and the family room we booked was very spacious and spotless and even had a balcony. The location is ideal for walking from Keswick and its only a 10 minute walk to the shops. The breakfasts are... More

Stayed here for two nights. Very good location just off the A66 and about 15 minutes walk from central Keswick. The owners are so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. There is a nice heated outdoor pool. Breakfast is excellent. WiFi fast. Overall great

We stayed with our 2 daughters for two nights. We had the family room which has a large balcony with spectacular views of Skiddaw (plus it's a fab spot for star gazing). Our hosts were lovely people - friendly, chatty and attentive. Breakfasts were very nice. Only 10 mins walk into town. The pheasant pub nearby is lovely. Highlight for... More

Good location. Excellent cat who greets you upon arrival. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were lovely and clean with all needs taken care of. Breakfast was fantastic. Anything or everything was not too much trouble. Friendly guests too, which is always a bonus :) Short walk into Keswick with the taxi back only being £2.90 - plus good pub around... More

Skiddaw Grove is a lovely B&B just outside the centre of Keswick. It's in a quiet residential street but it's only a 15 minute walk into town along the river or £3 in a taxi. The hosts couldn't be more friendly or helpful and the breakfasts are fantastic. Just what you need for a day on the hills!

We stayed here for the second time enjoying the fabulous weather the second week of May ... and this time had the FF Twin / Family room at the front which had a marvellous view of Skiddaw. The room was of decent size with 1 Dbl and 1 Single bed both of which were extremely comfortable, a bijou en suite... More
