My sister and I stayed at the Skiddaw on 8/9th February. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and it was just as warm and welcoming as before. The food is lovely and the service in the dining room is first class. We stayed in room 26 which was a lovely room and a…
We visit the Skiddaw Hotel annually for a reunion with friends. Very friendly staff and the rooms are excellent. The restaurant is very good with lovely meals which are all well presented. We used to go out for a meal in Keswick but now we all dine at the hotel when we stay.

Stayed a few days early Feb. Been here a few times and the place is very good. Stayed in a superior room, 63, nice room with a raise seating area, but 2 flights of narrow stairs to climb, not for anybody with walking problems. Food very good, staff excellent, will visit again.
"Rooms at the back are quieter but all the rooms are lovely."
"Avoid Room 28 at all cost. Next to the noisiest oldest lift ever. Tiny room with a corridor of a bathroom."
"We had room 17, possibly above the kitchens, too hot and had the windows open in December to sleep comfortably."
"Try to secure room that is close to or near to the rear of hotel"
"front rooms overlook main street, good sound proofing. If walking difficulties go for lift areas[assuming its working]"
