Have always loved sitting in Conservatory at Skiddaw Hotel but things are changing, and not for the better. Ordered pot of Earl Grey for two and menu showed cost of a pot of tea as £2.45 so were prepared to pay the £4.90 asked for. The waiter arrived with a pot of hot water, two cups & saucers, and two...

Went for a week to Keswick. Found the skidded conservatory a lovely place to sit and have a meal and a drink. We have a dog and the staff brought her biscuits and water and always made a fuss of her. We had both meals and snacks there and drinks and coffee. Everything was lovely and tasty. Such a lovely...

Room 1 is a single on 1st floor nice bathroom bedroom area is adequate comfy bed. The room is spoiled by the view over the back of the hotel. At just short of £85 I think it's expensive. The breakfast was very nice but it would have been nice to be offered the conservatory as other people clearly had been.

Have stayed in the hotel several times before. This time we booked a one night managers special of dinner bed and breakfast. We had an adequate room with huge bathroom on the third floor at the front. We were disappointed at having to pay £2 a night for parking-which over the year will make a good profit considering the number...

This is by far the best place to stay in Keswick with a dog. On arrival you are offered a loan of a dog bed and bowl. When you've been out for a walk on your return reception will hand you a towel to dry the dog. Dogs are welcome in the conservatory so you can have all your meals...

Very disappointed in room number 8, looks like they made a spare bit of area into a room, the room is right next to the lift in between the lounge which looks over the market place a very nice view, Room 8 has a little window which is frosted and looks over alley and next door kitchen, if you claustrophobic...

After wandering around Keswick like Mary and Joseph finding no room at the inn. We thought we would try Skiddaw. Thankfully there was plenty of room and even had a great live band on. The food and service was prompt and we enjoyed many hours talking and eating. Lovely place would visit again.

Well furnished, bigger than expected cottage belonging to Skiddaw Hotel. The only reason I didn't mark it as excellent was the lack of hoover and general cleaning items such as washing up liquid, dish cloths and tea towels but other than that it was delightful. The food in their restaurant was lovely and I couldn't fault the service either. 9/10

Booked a 2 night weekend DBB break 17 - 19 Feb on Secret Escapes and upgraded the deal to a prestige room and oh what a room. Room 63, lovely. Ok a bit of a hike up some narrow steps to get there but when we got there .... It's at the back of the hotel with dual aspect, mostly...

The very modern and dog friendly room with the huge bed and gorgeous ensuite wet room made our stay at the end of January an absolute delight. The staff were fantastic and had thought of everything to make our stay as easy and stress free as possible - including providing towels for muddy paws. Definately a place we will be...
