We booked for 2 nights but stayed for 4! Perfect location, stunning scenery and nice and quiet site. We were in our mobile home so had our own ensuit facilities but showers and toilets were clean and looked good. Owner was so friendly and nice and helped us to fill up with water easily. Walks from the site. Pub a... More

So glad we found this site. We have so many bad experiences at other noisy campsites, it is great to find an owner who does not tolerate idiots who think it is OK to make noise, swear and drink while families are trying to sleep. Many thanks to the owner, it's great to find a site where we can actually... More

I found this campsite because I was looking for a specific place in relation to a race I intended to run and it was close to the start/finish. And I'm glad I did. A peaceful area with toilet facilities. 50p for a 4 minute hot shower is so good when you've got soaked and cold in the hills. The owner... More

I have stayed here for 2 long weekends of running. It is ideally situated for great walking and running routes in the mountains and is within walking distance of a lovely local pub and a great restaurant. It is basic but had everything we needed - clean toilets and showers and peace and quiet. The owner is laid back, helpful... More

Visited for a long weekend in August. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful lakes and the views from the campsite itself are out of this world! Value for money, the campsite is simple but has everything needed. The owners however leave a lot to be desired. I found the lady owner to be rude and abrupt and extremely unfriendly. Having... I do not consider this a bad review as yes the views are out of this world and the site is great value for money . Anybody calling on the phone for bank holiday is dealt with quickly and referred to the website as we are inundated with calls and do not take bookings . As for my general demeanour... More

Me and partner stayed here for a couple nights. We were greeted and shown where to pitch our tent. It was a lovely place to stay, showers were clean and it is in a great location. Would definitely come back.

Couldn't ask for more, arrived at 21.45 to be greeted by the owner who showed us where to pitch and then gave us a lift to the pub in time for last orders. Beautiful views from this ideally located site and the softest grass we have ever camped on, didn't even bother to blow up the air bed. Pub is... More

My family have been coming to this site for over 47years, the farm has been handed down over generations. I recently took my husbands family here for the first time, 3 tents, 6 adults, 5 children and 1 dog. The children enjoyed themselves mixing with the others on site playing football, we even managed a family game of cricket. The... More
