Spent new year at this hotel. Extractor fan in the bathroom sounded like a an aeroplane taking off in the room. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed ive ever slept on (ive slept in various hotels, B & B's and youth hostels), could feel the springs despite sleeping on top of the throw. Complained to the Manager who stated...

We visit Keswick regularly but had never stayed here before and were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, bathroom small but managaeable, although it was easy to burn your leg on the towel radiator when using the loo. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. Staff very friendly despite it being near end of year. Limited parking available at the...

Two day stay to welcome the new year with friends and family Hotel staff very accommodating and helpful especially with their adjustment to breakfast and check out time on New Years day. Yes the hotel is not 5 star but good value for money. Great location for town centre, local park. Would stay in the future

Having stayed in various hotels in Keswick. Booked this as a last minute booking for a pre-christmas getaway. Room was big but decor was dated, could do with a complete make over. I lways thought Keswick was renowned for its good hearty breakfast, yet this one was tasty, yet left us wanting more.

Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome and were happy to advise on places to visit? Breakfast meal consisted of cereal, fruit and a choice of either cooked (to order) or continental meal. Very good option and meals provided for evening meals with special deals for 2 mains? Room was very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee...

I am judging this hotel based on the price I paid, £165 per night for a family room, in Central London I would have reasonable expectations, here I have very high expectations which are not met. If the cost for the room was £70 per night it would receive a worthy 4 stars. Breakfast is full English but the time...

We ate here for the first time on Friday night. I ordered monkfish, but as this was no longer available had the swordfish and was still able to have the white wine sauce that goes with the monkfish, plus a complimentary glass of wine. The fish melted in the mouth and the sauce was delicious. The new potatoes could have...

We stayed for three days in room 4. Great view and easy to walk to the centre of Keswick. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Will return! Enjoyed the breakfast which was well cooked and served quickly.

I stayed here with my brother for a short break. The hotel is very good value for money and the staff led by manager Peter were very attentive. The breakfast was great and set us up for the day ahead. We would definitely stay here again.

Good location - Old character hotel. A little dated but that's what is expected from period hotel. Really Poor quality breakfast - 1 cheap sausage - and a destroyed fried egg ? Chef and cleaner smoking outside below my bedroom window. No really a good advert upon arrival.
