Stayed here with my daughter on our way back home from a family visit to Scotland. We both had a great stay. The staff were all brilliant and made us very welcome. The room was small but perfectly adequate and we both had a good night sleep in the very comfortable beds. The evening meal was delicious and our vegetarian...

Arrived on Friday 7th Oct 16, after a long drive & was made to feel very welcome. This is the second time we've been to this Coaching Inn & as with the 1st time we were not disappointed. Comfortable room with great food at breakfast & evening meal in the restaurant. Good selection of beers. Will definitely visit again.

Booked this old coach house inn for one night only mid week and price was important and this place ticked all the boxes. We booked a double and a single room. Warm welcome on arrival and nothing too much bother. Rooms were more than acceptable and both had ensure. Food both at lunch and dinner was excellent as was the...

Stayed here with friends over the weekend in room 1, which needed updating. The light switches needed a good clean, 3 black hairs on the bed, wall paper hanging off behind the radiator. The skirting board needed a dust, the top was missing off the cold tap and the door handle was falling apart. The window blind was not very clean....

Hello Mark, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, I'm very sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with your room. I am very surprised to read your comments about the cleanliness and the broken cold tap - I have checked the room myself after reading your review and couldn't detect any problems with the taps, I will...

My review is based on staying in room 5 and Is fact based not my opinion. Rustic un even floorboards are fine but when they are so rustic that people walking down the hallway make your bed bounce that's not fine, tarnished brass light switch, dated shower cubicle with black mould but plenty of hot water, dated decoration and just...

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I'm very sorry to hear you were not entirely satisfied with your room. While I completely appreciate that the decor and the old world charm of our Inn will not appeal to all, I would certainly disagree that our Inn is unloved. We do do single supplements, but only by previous agreement...

We only stayed for one night (18th September) to enable us to attend a concert in Keswick. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely man who checked us in and made us feel really welcome. My wife and I stayed in a twin room and our son stayed in a single. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and were...

Regularly visit the Lake District but had never visited the Kings Head before. The hotel/pub did 2 things that changed that. They supported the Herdwick sheep trail which drew my attention. I had previously just driven past. The second part was to provide really good food at a reasonable price in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They say you always...
