From arriving on the Friday night to leaving on the Sunday morning, we couldn't have asked for more. Clare and David were so welcoming and full of information and recommendations. The guesthouse itself is lovely (immaculately clean!) and we really appreciated the tour Clare gave us when we got there. The breakfasts are AMAZING - we'd recommend the savoury stack,... More

Clare and David are attentive hosts and make you feel welcome from the moment you enter their home. Spotlessly clean and the little touches make the difference. Excellent breakfast produce the best weve had. View from our room, wow. Cant wait to come back.

David and Claire, we love you. The best weekend away ever. 5* greeting, people, room, breakfast, and view from the room. I cannot fault your beautiful establishment. We will be back. And the chocolates and humbugs are a treat for Caroline.

Fantastic small B & B. Very enthusiastic and friendly hosts, perhaps too so for some but better than the negative alternative. Super breakfast and extremely comfortable bed. Very clean. Only negative comment is that our possessions (which we had left tidily) had been re-arranged while we were out, e.g. Shoes, boots and dirty laundry bag had been moved into the... More

Another fantastic stay at Thornleigh nothing too much trouble for David and Clare from ordering breakfast, to being asked if we wanted a flask of tea or coffee to take on our walk. We have booked to stay again next year and would recommend this guest house to anyone.

Our third visit this year and each time we have enjoyed a different room. Once again we had an immaculately presented, spacious and well equiped room with an amazing view over Latrigg - would be difficult to beat from any guest room in Keswick. High quality co-ordinated furnishings, large fluffy towels and local shower gels/shampoo/lotions, etc Fully amenity tray with... More

A superb guest house in an excellent location in Keswick. CLare and David are wonderful hosts with first rate knowledge of both the town and the fells around. The rooms are spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and with a real attention to detail: locally sourced toiletries, chocolates on the pillow each day, fresh milk and much appreciated mint humbugs ! The... More
