My husband and I stayed in The Old Dairy, a cottage for a couple with a Double bed and bathroom downstairs, a small kitchen and comfy lounge/diner upstairs. Members of my family stayed in some of the other cottages. The cottage was beautifully clean, nicely decorated, and appointed with heaters (Love the timers!!) and lots of hot water. The kitchen...

We stayed at the Cocklety How Studio apartment, and it was perfect for our needs. Alan and Cheryl are lovely people who keep a beautiful group of cottages and grounds. The location is great and there is little need to get in your car to go anywhere; with some excellent walks, to explore the wonderful countryside, right from your door....

Very cute little shepherd's hut, suitable for groups of two for fewer. Hot & cold water, tiny sink, little wood-burner, kettle, microwave & not much else except for the beautiful Lake District just outside the door. Don't expect all the comforts of one of the cottages (no TV or DVD player) but if you fancy "glamping" this is perfect. Surprisingly...

We two couples traveled from the U.S. to enjoy England's Lake District. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay than Manesty Cottages. With such a variety of walks from our doorstep or a short bus ride away, and Keswick nearby for anything we might need from 'the city', we were all set. Our hosts were most welcoming...

Stayed for 10 days in Cockelty Howe Stable Loft. Brilliant apartment, well equipped and fantastic views from front bedroom, kitchen and sitting room. Kitchen was well equipped for self catering with oven, grill, microwave (all separate), dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There were enough pots and pans too. Water was hot and showers had good water pressure. Bed was very comfortable...

This is my first time visiting the Lake District and hopefully not the last. I very much enjoyed our stay at Manesty, the owners were super accommodating and very thorough when showing us around, making sure that everything was covered from where to find instruction manuals to where our shoes should be kept. After that, we were set to go!...

What a brilliant 3 nights I have just spent staying in such an amazing place. The location is brilliant, peaceful and out of the way but close enough to local facilities if need be. Alan, the owner, and his family were wonderful and done everything possible to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The hut we stayed...

This is a difficult review for me to write as the owners were more than accommodating and friendly, however this is OUR experience, others will differ. We arrived later than we had wished so just wanted to get settled a quick bite to eat and rest after a long journey. We paid the remaining money owed plus £20 returnable deposit...

Great location out of town but still close enough. Very comfortable. This place was unique in the way they have provided information about restaurants, menus, walks, and other activities in a folder that you can look at at your leisure. Alan pointed out many things to see and do while we were here, and kept us informed about bad weather...
