We stayed with Carol and Ged at Honister House for the Easter weekend which was also my birthday. My Mum had sent flowers which they put in a vase in my room for my arrival. They also gave all the guests a small Lindt bunny and eggs on Easter day. And on the morning of my birthday a card was...

I chose this lovely little hotel based on the recommendation of a friend and as a result was not disappointed. Jed and Carol provided a warm welcome, a stylish yet traditional room with everything you need including an amazing shower, excellent food and that personal touch in terms of recommendations such the best walks and views in the area (which...

Just spent 2 lovely nights at this excellent Guest House right in the heart of Keswick. Our stay from the moment we arrived was brilliant , welcomed by Carol on arrival and Ged at breakfast. It is spotless and very homely and we were made to feel very comfortable and at home. We will definitely be back to stay at...

There are few places in the world that make you instantly feel at home - but arriving into Honister and being greeted by Carol, her cake and a hot cuppa was a level of care and loveliness I'd normally only receive from my mother. Carol and Ged have put great attention into creating an immaculate B&B that emanates genuine warmth....

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, Ged and Carol were very welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay, certainly appreciated the advice on which walks to take. The room was clean and tidy along with the ensuite, stayed in the double room which was a good sixe, plenty of room to dump bags/boots/excessive clothing etc The location is brilliant, stones throw...

Breakfast was fabulous, we had to check out early on Sunday, carol made sure we were well fed before we left. The property is really close to the centre of Keswick and you are given a...

Our second visit to Honister house didn't disappoint. It's in a central position in Keswick, clean, warm and welcoming. Great breakfasts, packed lunch on request - they provide for vegans and veggies too.

My sister and I stayed at Honister House last week during the “Words by the Water” festival in Keswick. It was our second visit. We were impressed with it last year and it was every bit as good this time. We got a lovely warm welcome from Carol and Ged who do a superb job of running Honister House. It’s...

The rooms are clean, the bed was comfortable with multi channel Tv, en suit etc. But it's the extras bits that make Honister House a top guest house. The friendliness of Jed and Carol, the help and advice, the homemade cakes Carol leaves in the rooms, toiletries, help with bags or just the wonderful breakfast. I'm not sure what more...
