Make sure you have a map because my trusty sat nav was completely wrong as to the location. On arrival we got a warm reception and explanation of the routine, the owner was very well informed. The furniture is amazing...

We stayed one night with our two children, aged 3 and 6, on route through the lakes. While not being a million miles from the A66 the B7B feels wonderfully secluded. We felt like we were staying in a classic lakes house but equipped with many mod cons. The room was easily big enough for a family of four to...

Stayed at Lowthwaite in the Blencathra room. This is a lovely room with the bedroom on the ground floor and a mezzanine living room / bathroom area above. The furniture, fittings, bedding and towels were of a quality very rarely seen in B&B accommodation. The toiletries were also greatly appreciated. The breakfasts were totally amazing plus the owners were very...
