We visited this hotel en route to Scotland, sadly as my father in law had passed away. The hotel with its cheerful staff and roaring log fire soon lifted our spirits. Dinner was delicious, with a wide range of choices, I didn't really have room for a dessert, but couldn't resist! Our double room was very comfortable, quiet & at...

Warm, welcoming and comfortable. Delicious food, well proportioned and equipped bedroom. But the best bit was the in-room dining for the dogs - water bowl, food bowls and boxes of gourmet dog food! Happy to recommend a stay with or without dogs.

Found this by accident on our way to Glasgow. Can only agree with previous reviewers. Cannot fault it in any way. What a lovely surprise to find something so good and so unexpected. Will definitely recommend it

Tucked well back from the service station on the M6 this is a great stopping spot either to see the magnificent countryside nearby or as a break en route north. The warm comfortable rooms are well equipped with good bathrooms and excellent beds. The restaurant has lovely views and the food is good and locally sourced although not memorable. There...

Arranged a stay at services to meet a friend (Wales & Glasgow so Tebay services looked about halfway). On arrival the lounge had a warm Chrismasy feel to it & the roaring log fire was perfect for a quiet drink. The room was large enough with a proper double bed (not 2 singles pushed together). We had dinner in the...

Westmorland is not what you would expect when you think of motorway services, it is a little bit special. The hotel is clean, bright and quiet, the log fire in the lounge area with the comfy sofas make it feel really homely. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are great. The services themselves boast a farm shop as well...

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and are pleased to record that the standards have not slipped- in fact perhaps have improved. Travelled from Oxford with the intention of making Arbroath but decided to break our journey. Had relaxing and delicious dinner -( lamb cooked 4 ways which was memorable ) and very comfortable room...

Given that I consider Westmorland services far and away the best motorway services in the UK, I decided to try the hotel for an overnight stop on our way to Aberdeen. It was perfect! The public areas are comfortable, with big sofas and a roaring log fire in the lounge, a welcoming bar, and a large restaurant. The restaurant lighting...
