Recently stayed at White Cross Bay in Damson Lodge Thirmele 8. Was a great experience the lodges were fantastic. The park is ok, difficult at first to find the lodges and is at least a good 30 mins walking to the nearest attraction. The boathouse was very small and difficult for us to find a table for 7. The reception... More

Can not fault reception staff or caravan size. Very big. Few cobwebs about, but nothing major. Was amazed to find a combi boiler as well. Went to resturant to eat and was very pricy. No takeaway as advertised in leaflet. Nowhere near in walking distance to go. So no food for us. Very icy roads around site. Should have been... More

Spent 4 days in a Thirlmere Lodge with my wife. Very clean and well equipped. The hot tub was great and yes.......we even managed a barbecue. We did not use all the facilities on site and we had a relaxing time enjoying the local area. Will definitely return.

We recently booked a few days at White Cross Bay but the day before we were due to arrive my partner's mother became seriously ill and passed away. We called to inform Park Resorts who denied a refund or even the opportunity to reschedule to another time. Really disappointed in their goodwill policy.

I booked here and stayed in the Reindeer park area. Caravan was great apart from power cut on one morning. Staff did everything to keep us happy and really made my stay. I love walking and being 2 miles each way between Ambleside and Windermere was perfect. Shop on site was minimal but garage up the road makes up for... More
