we have not been to the lakes for a few years so we decided to visit again on a coach trip we stayed in the Windermere Hotel which is on the top of a hill looking down on to the village the hotel is just opposite the station the hotel is very nice and and we had a good view...

we stayed here for 1 night with our shearings package Christmas..the room was so cold and the bathroom was also freezing..we looked in wardrobe for extra blanket and the one we found was very grubby so we took it down to reception and they did exchange it evening meal was good considering we where late getting to the hotel but...

The windermere hotel didnt disapoint...Nice and cosy...charming staff..yes, on a bit of an incline but take iy easy and its ok....lovelyt single room,,,meals well presented etc. Will go back again in the near future,,

Hotel in great location, easy access to town (believe Lake Windermere to be about a mile or so away); we had a view room and it did not disappoint; very spacious, bathroom, which included bath and separate shower, done to an exceptionally high standard, although my hubby thought bath not long enough, but could see that it would suit guests...

Lovely old hotel, good facilities in rooms and very clean,comfy. Excellent choice of food and drinks. Entertainment on l evening. Amazing scenery made even more breathtaking when it snowed. All staff very friendly and helpful.
