Having just returned from a 2 night stay at The Miller Howe I have nothing but praise. Everything is first class, from the greeting when you arrive, to the size, quality and cleanliness of the rooms, to the fabulous food and drink. The hotel is in a beautiful location, a bit of walk into Bowness but a fairly cheap taxi...

My partner treated me to a valentines weekend away . We usually stay at a place on Grassmere but thought we'd try somewhere different . It did not disappoint. The room was homely with a beautiful bathroom and an even more stunning view . The staff were wonderful ! Food was 1st class and great value for money , I...

Autumn 2016 was glorious with all shades of red and gold to be seen in the beautiful Lake District. What a pity our chosen hotel was such a disappointment. Our room with a view had a very ancient oak obscuring any hidden view of Lake Windermere. The bed was twin beds joined together hence a very noticeable dip in the...

Having spent two nights this week with a friend at Miller Howe, I feel the need to complement the chef, Craig Davis and his staff. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. This young man is one to look out for. I expect, before too long, to see his name in the illustrious list of celebrity chefs.

Cute place with nice little rooms, but this has the feeling of more of a large country house B&B style rather than fully fledged hotel. Regular hotelliers may be disappointed, despite this being quite the norm in the Lakes. Staff were not expecting us as our booking, for some odd reason, was not on their system despite being booked via...

My girlfriend and I booked this on a whim very last minute. We booked it at 4pm on Booking.com, jumped in the car and drove down from Glasgow. We arrived around 7pm to find the Hotel weren't expecting us, all good though the lovely person at reception put us in a bigger room than we had booked which had a...

We have just returned from the Miller Howe, Windermere after a stay with friends. This was approximately our twelfth visit and although the hotel has got a new manager and chef it is still our favourite. Wonderful lounges with excellent views and cosy fires. We were welcomed as always by Jane who is long standing on reception and nothing is...

This is a must visit place in the lakes if you enjoy fine food and beautiful views. The menu offered caters for all tastes, the staff are friendly and professional, the building is quirky and wonderful. Impossible not to want to go back. The prices are less than you would expect for the quality and location.

Great food and service. Had a lovely meal at Miller Howe. I had the duck which was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed our evening and we will definitely return when back in the area. Love staff also.
