Just returned from a lovely two night stay at Hilton House. It is within easy walking distance of both Windermere and Bowness, each of which have loads of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Hilton House itself is beautifully decorated, the rooms are cosy and comfortable. We had Room 2, right above the dining room, which was perfect for our needs....

We can't really say enough about this place. Our first stay in Windermere and we chose well. Very friendly staff, lovely clean cosy and well decorated room and tasty breakfast. Ideally situated between Windermere town (5 mins walk) and Bowness (10 mins walk) with ample restuarants and bars. This place a real gem and would recommend to anyone. Definitely coming...

Upon arrival we were taken to our room which had a big leak in the entrance hall in our room...not a great start. However, the room was beautifully presented, a very good size (we booked one of the superior kingsize rooms) with a lovely spacious bathroom. The grouting could have done with some refreshing in the shower area, but that...

We stayed in Room 8 (The 4 poster room with "Love" above it in the pictures) at Easter weekend this year. The furnishings are gorgeous - the whole guest house is really well decorated. Room 8 is really spacious, has it's own private corridor, a little makeup area thats cutely hidden, and an awesome bathroom. The patio doors open onto...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and were very pleased with our stay. The establishment is situated at the bottom end of Windermere town on New Rd and is about 10 minutes shallow upward incline stroll to the town centre and about 20/25 minutes stroll downhill to Bowness. From the outside, the property is becoming a little...

we stayed for 2 nights 17th and 18th July and really enjoyed our stay. The room was the small room with a lovely comfy 4 poster bed. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice all freshly cooked for you. We are an older couple (50+) both relatively fit and could manage walking to Bowness in 30 minutes down the road...
