My husband and I were driving to the Lake District from London after work, so needed a place that would still be open when we arrived around 10:30pm. We called to let the owners know when we'd arrive, and they stayed up waiting for us. Each day, we had a full English breakfast, which was so filling that I had...

Super friendly, immaculately presented B&B serving a lovely breakfast and so helpful and accommodating to bikers :) Brian had even taken the time to print out a couple of great routes to ride ready for our arrival. How thoughtful! Be sure to call ahead to reserve/check availability of the secure overnight parking for your bike... Brian reserved a space for...

Stayed for two nights in the deluxe room. Perfect location in a quiet residential area. Great breakfast and friendly hosts who were ready to share local knowledge and engage in conversation made for a perfect stay. Would want to return if we were to visit the area again.

We stayed in room 1 for 3 nights which was lovely and comfortable. The whole house is spotlessly clean and set in on a lovely quiet road. Walking to Bowness and Windermere is about 10/15 minutes each way. As this is set on a really steep bank it may not be suitable for those who cant walk easily. The food...

We stayed for four very comfortable nights. The owners were very friendly and provided us with a very hearty full English breakfast each morning. They also gave us advise on places to go and to visit. All in all, a very good break.

Lindisfarne House was spotlessly clean, homely and welcoming. We stayed in Bedroom 1 for three nights, which was very comfortable and spacious, and was serviced daily! The location of the B&B was ideal, a ten minute walk to both central Windermere and Bowness. The breakfast was lovely and always served promptly. Brian was particularly helpful and gave us great advice...

We spent a long weekend selecting two rooms here last weekend and were not disappointed The house was immaculate and Brian very welcoming. Clearly he and Gilian run a very tidy ship but without being fussy or overpowering Great location being a short stroll to both Windermere and Bowness Good value and i would recommend
