We were a party of 9 (plus the dog) celebrating mums 80th birthday. Already extremely satisfied regulars of this fabulous hotel, it was a perfect choice for her birthday. The food was (as always) superb. The staff, warm welcoming and so friendly, whilst the hotel itself, set in beautiful grounds with stunning views, provided comfortable home from home accommodation. She...

I surprised my lady wife on 13th February by requesting she pack an overnight bag as we were going away tomorrow to a "Mystery" location for Valentine's day. We live in a little fishing village on the Lancashire coast - called Blackpool. So after 55 minutes on the M6 we stopped at Hawkshead Brewery, Staveley and enjoyed a Beer/Tapas lunch....

The decor was a little dated but it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were fantastic. We love this hotel because it's...

Without hesitation, 5/5 is the score for this beautiful establishment, not only the stunning area, the classic country style, the character of the building, but also the superb food and the fantastic service by all the staff. You pay for what you get and here, you get top class.
