This was the first time we had stayed at a B&B, we were sick of overpriced, characterless rooms found so often in hotels. We could not have hoped for more from The Cottage. Our room was spotlessly clean and well thought out, exactly what we had hoped for after a long drive. The recommendations from Steve (the owner) for a...

A great place to stay at a really reasonable price, It was a very friendly and welcoming guest house and made us feel immediately at home. The fried breakfast portions were very generous and tasted lovely (yogurts, fruit and cereals were also available for those who prefer a more healthy option! We also liked the location of the hotel, within...

What a Lovely little B&B. It is spotless inside & out, from the entrance hallway, the breakfast room and the bedroom we stayed in. We stayed for three nights, while attending a wedding in the Lake district. Most of the guests, were staying at an upmarket hotel, but we made a very good choice by staying at the cottage. The...

There are a lot of admirable qualities to this little guest house and the things I liked less are all just down to personal taste. A good location for local shops and bars (I would avoid Queens). The Cottage itself has handy off road parking. Inside everywhere is spotlessly clean, though in need of being brought up to date in...

My family enjoyed every minute of our 3 nights we had at The Cottage , wish we could have stayed much longer. The bedrooms are very comfortable ( 8 & 9 ) a real home from home. The owners made everybody feel welcome and gave very good advice on local attractions and Restaurants etc. The lovely cooked English Breakfast was...

We have just returned home from an excellent three nights stay at The Cottage and would like to reinforce the extremely positive comments written by many of the other guests. Our room was furnished to a high standard and was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very relaxing. The owners were very friendly at the same time, managing to remain relatively unobtrusive!!...

This was a wonderful place to stay very oldie worldie, friendly, well decorated and exceptionally clean. The location was spot on - just a short walk into the village centre, great value and you even had a parking space. included, (it cost about £8 a day in a public car park when we went elsewhere last year) The room number...
