My husband and I stayed here for a week. The guest house is very comfortable, the breakfast great with lots of choice and plenty of homemade goodies. The cakes left out everyday were a lovely extra. The guest house is convenient for the station and has parking.

Wonderful Guest House, very friendly, clean and nicely decorated. Our room (No2) was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great with an excellent choice. I would recommend Rockside to anyone wanting a great base to explore the Lake District.

Rockside is in a perfect position, just a couple of minutes walk to the town centre with all it's restaurants and shops. Caroline and Martin were excellent hosts and the breakfast each morning had a fantastic choice and the food was brilliant. We stayed in suite 2 which had a lounge area, a good sized bedroom with a very comfy...

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay at the Rockside Guest House. It was lovely. Caroline and Martin were very friendly. We stayed in room 8 - up a few short flights of stairs. (Martin was quick to assist with our luggage.) It was a nice size room and, offered a comfy king bed, an in-room...

We stayed 4 nights at Rockside, we opted for room 10 so we had an additional lounge area which was perfect in the evenings if it was raining and we wanted to stay in doors. From our arrival to our departure we were looked after by Caroline who was attentative and nothing seemed too much trouble. The room was nicely...

Rockside was so very easy to find, located on the junction of the ambleside to windermere road with the Bowness road, the house is a beautiful stone building with a very quirky but charming interior with lots of little staircases. We were a little late checking in as we had underestimated the traffic driving down from the Highlands but we...

I stayed at Rockside from the 14 of May to the 19th of May. Conveniently located, in the heart of Windermere Village. I was concerned about the noise level as it overlooks the main road, but I needn't have...the room was almost noise-proof, but sunny and airy. The breakfast is lovely, and it is worth staying there just to try...

Had four wonderful days at the Rockside Guest House. Your hosts were extremely helpful and their breakfasts were excellent. A brilliant location to fully explore the Lake District. We stayed in room 2 which offers a small lounge area as well as the bedroom complete with a small fridge. Highly recommended. Right in the town of Windamere so restaurants and...
