We stayed at the Hideaway for 5 nights in room 7. It was the best B&B we have stayed in ( and we have stayed in a fair few!!). The room was spacious and spotless. Great power shower, very comfy king size bed and fresh bottled water every day! It was cleaned each morning whilst we were at breakfast. The...

I booked The Hideaway as a surprise mini moon for my husband. We were greeted by RIchard on arrival, very attentive and knowledgable chap. There was a surprise in the bedroom, rose petals on the bed.. Lovely little touch.. The room was spacious and spotless.. We only stayed one night, but it was perfect for what we wanted. It's ideally located for easy access to Windermere (5 mins walk) or Bowness ( 15 min walk). The rooms are well appointed and very clean and modern, the B&B is kept spotless. The breakfast was perfectly cooked, very fresh and not too much. We would happily stay...

I have nothing but praise for The Hideaway, the quality of food for breakfast, the very high standard of the rooms and social rooms and especially Richard the owner. We have stayed here for 3 nights, and when booking from overseas is sometimes harder. We have been so very impressed with the Hideaway here at the Lakes District, Richard is...

Our first visit last year was memorable so we decided to return to the Hideaway. This time we stayed in room 11- a larger room with a bath-ideal after our walks on 2 days. It's the little "extra" touches you receive- cotton wool balls and buds in the bathroom with travel toiletries, bottles of water and even sachets of hot chocolate...

Although we arrived slightly later than planned, there was no issue. We were welcomed as if we had known them already. The room was extremely clean and comfortable (Cakes were waiting). Other staff were friendly too. Breakfast was amazing!!!!!! The location is great, close to Windermere centre but just far enough out as not to hear all the hustle and...

This was our 3rd stay at the Hideaway. We have stayed in 3 different rooms and each one was spotlessly clean and plenty big enough. The owners are really lovely and very helpful. The breakfasts are some of the best we've ever had, all local produce and superb quality. Would not hesitate to recommend The Hideaway, make sure you sample...

Having so much choice in the Lakes we are so glad we decided to stay at the Hideaway. Away from the main road but only 5 minute walk into Windermere it's a perfect location opposite a playing field and very peaceful. On arrival we were welcomed by Richard and given a map of Windermere and nearby Bowness which was very...
