We booked this b&b because of the good reviews and certainly weren't dissapointed. It is set in a quiet side road only a few minutes walk from Windermere. A private car park which is very convenient as we never moved the car all weekend. Lovely clean rooms with absolutely everything you need. Brilliant to have a fridge in the room... More

From the minute I was greeted at the door to the moment I left I felt thoroughly spoilt. Jim and Lorraine are the perfect hosts and it's clear how much the comfort of their guests is important to them. Jim is very knowledgable about the area, public transport and walking routes and places to eat and the offer of maps... More

We stayed one night at Mylne Bridge House to break our journey driving to Surrey. Jim greeted us at the door, provided us with information about the history of the house, the town of Windermere and places to go for our evening meal before showing us to our room. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you... More

I absolutely loved my stay, and by far the best hosts you'll ever meet. Jim & Lorraine do a tremendous job looking after their guests. Top quality breakfast, pristine rooms & perfect knowledge of the area and things to do. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend. Thank you

This b&b has 10 mins walking from rail station, the host JIM and his wife are very kindly to guest. They explained things about the lake district for us patiently, and they offer very delicious breakfast. The rooms are clean and warm, highly suggest to reside here!

It doesn't happen very often when an experience exceeds your expectations to such a level that it becomes an everlasting memory of joy to cherish and share with your friends and family. Our stay at the Mylne Bridge House was one of them, where we were greeted by Jim & Lorraine who have set the bar so high that it... More

Even before arriving, Jim and Lorraine made us feel welcome! We had a nightmare journey, getting stuck in traffic. We arrived quite late but Jim was absolutely lovely, taking the time to explain everything and even give us some tips for the following day. Breakfast is excellent, try the porridge which Lorraine makes in the traditional way. Jim gave us... More

We chose Mylne Bridge House based on the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed. Firstly, the location is very convenient, being a 10 minute walk from Windermere railway station, and an easy walk down to the Bowness lakefront too. Unless one has a lot of luggage, it is advisable to simply walk down from the station. Taxi... More
