Stayed here for three nights in Oct . on entering the building we were overpowered by the smell plug in air fresheners which seemed to be everywhere . Our "double" room was small and square with the bed pushed against the wall and almost no room to turn around. The bathroom was small and dirty with fungus on all the tile...

We stayed here because our first choice bed n breakfast was not what we were expecting. So decided to try find somewhere else to stay. Went for a walk along the sea front and saw the lyric hotel. Excellent location. Great stay, great price and when you have eaten the full English breakfast don't expect to move lol. The waiters...

Turned up short notice and was able to get a room for cheap. Smells absolutely gorgeous as you walk in which makes this homely. Very friendly and well presented. More than happy to help us with anything we needed and included breakfast and a car park facility. Very clean and a tidy appearance all round. Nice and quiet also and...

Stayed here on a cheap 2 day break organised by travel agent, don't know if this is why the service wasn't as good as previous comments on here and the attitude of the staff wasn't as friendly. It was clean but the shower was ancient and scalding, tv was tiny and not much selection of channels. The main issue was...

Can recommend for basic bed n breakfast, although we were room only.Comfortable and clean. Nice bar (we need alcohol), but no JD or Grouse, settled for Bells! Thankyou. Overall can and will recommend however we might go for a change next time lacks a bit of holiday atmosphere.

Stayed at the Lyric with my kids for a short break to end the summer holidays. The place is just perfect. Great location for attractions and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfast is great, lots of choice and well cooked and presented. The kids were sorry to leave, I had to promise to return next year.
