Staff were very friendly and smiley - always a plus in my book. This classic hotel from a bygone era suceeded my expectation. The opulant entrance took you back to a different age. Our rooms were large and spacious and had everything we needed. It's situated in the quiet of the north shore yet close enough to amble to the...

Had to wait over 15 minutes to check-in which was not a very good start to our stay. Only one Receptionist on duty. Evening meal quite expensive, but good choice - 3 courses excluding coffee. Breakfast can be chaotic. We went in at 8.30am and were seated fairly quickly and good selection of hot and cold dishes. By 9.00am they...

Beautiful room!!! we booked the upgraded option and was totally worth it as room is spacious, elegant and classy. We were in first floor so sea view was not particularly to the sea but so make sure if you are looking for this to ask for an upper floor. Facilities were great, and breakfast exceptional

on the positive side the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful; the common arrears were clean and tidy and the food for breakfast was lovely. However the basic bedroom at the rear of the hotel left a lot to be desired, more like a second rate B&B than a Four star hotel. Just because you offer tea making facilities,...

Stayed at this hotel around 20 years ago and was well impressed. However twenty years later I find nothing has changed. In other words, the same furnishing but twenty years older therefore scratched and scuffed. The skirting boards and doors are also showing signs of wear and tear. The carpets and curtains were dirty and dingy. Our room was very...
