The Metropole hotel is ideally situated on the sea front with quite a large car park costing £3 per 24 hrs if you are staying at the hotel, although it gets full quite quickly. The staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are warm and clean. The breakfast is a buffet style with lots of choice in a large...

Where do I start?! The only good point about this hotel is that it is in a good location, on the sea front and nice receptionist on arrival. Yes they are the only good points!! The whole hotel is out dated, stains all over the carpets, stains on the chair in the room, window so filthy they block out the...

had a really nice stay for the Rock 'n' Roll weekend--nice room which was very clean and overall the Hotel seemed brighter with refurbish work in progress and new carpets in some of the rooms--this Grand Hotel has had a varied past but looks to have a bright future--doesn't deserve some of the negative reviews.

My friends and I had the displeasure of visiting Blackpool for a weekend event. If having to come to the god forsaken sea side town wasn't punishment enough for our sins; we unfortunately had an overnight in the "Grand" Metropole Hotel. Alike most of the town itself, the Grand Metropole, hasn't managed to keep up with the times. The decor...

The dirt on the windows was thicker than the panes of glass themselves. The bathroom window was being held on with gaffa tape and when we had a shower the bathroom flooded because the shower acted more like a fire hydrant that had been burst open rather than a shower head. The bed at first felt like they would be...

Stayed here for 1 night 14-15th Jan 2107... I won't be staying here again. We paid £49 for the room so not overly expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. The room was basic with a double bed- definitely not an executive room as described. The bed and pillows were hard so didn't sleep much; no towels in...

I stayed at the Metropole with my 5 year old son. The room was clean apart from the windows they were rotten. The inside of the bedside lampshade was broken and the TV was very old with just the bog standard channels which if you have children with you is not much good. They charge you 50p every time you...

Booked this as a cheap getaway for my family, 2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 & 17. Dreaded visiting the hotel due to poor reviews but we all had a great time, staff so polite and friendly and a very warm atmosphere .. yes the hotel needs a bit of TLC but some of the old features are what...
