2 minutes walk from the Station Car Park, clean ans comfortable. Rooms are small but not cramped, great place to stay if you are in Leicester for a couple of days. Slightly quirky check in, not recognisable front desk, reception is a table near the bar . Staff friendly and polite. Really nice Bar area, not busy mid week so a nice place to chill and chat.…
I have stopped here several times ...and it has been good ... but ... this time ... the hot water stopped. To be fair to the management they had somebody working on it all night ... but ... it was therefore a very noisy night ! All in all not the best stay but ... I hope its a one-off.…
I think I last stayed here about 5 years ago. Since then it has definitely been smartened up and the decor in the bedrooms etc improved. Also the breakfast/bar/lounge area is a lot more modern and welcoming. It's a fairly standard more budget hotel though the bed is pretty comfortable and the shower quite spacious. Usually the Premier Inn nearby is cheaper if you can book plenty in advance, but if you can't and the Premier Inn has increased in price, this could be a good cheaper option. …
Chosen for convenient location - for train travellers with tickets for the Curve theatre, the Ibis proved to fit the bill well (although the bill mid-week was higher than expected for a ‘budget’ hotel. We were grateful to be able to book in early and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The curved bathroom module was very clean with an effective shower; the extractor fan was quiet; my wife was pleased to have well lit mirrors with a convenient socket for hairdryer. Wi-fi worked too! Built so close to the ring road, there was some traffic noise but not excessively so with window closed. Location does mean waiting for a succession of green men between city centre and hotel! There was ample choice at breakfast and the selection of hot food was actually hot. As with most buffet breakfast experiences, the toaster was not perfect. Overall, a good choice.…
Visited Leicester on Business in September and booked this hotel with Breakfast. Grumpy staff on arrival who looked like can’t be bothered and no smile existed. Got in the room and just looked old shabby but bed was comfy. The coffee tray had no sugar, TV remote had no batteries in them and the Tv didn’t even work!! The breakfast was really bad with only a few items on it and the fruits looked as if they been there for a week !! There was a tv hanging on top of the breakfast table which was full of dust and probably not been dusted for months. 2 stars ... 1 for the bed and 1 for the shower. Won’t return unfortunately …
