Dear 938vivienz Thank you for your feedback. Please accept my sincere apology. Looks like your stay back in October 2020 wasn't great. We would love to investigate however may unfortunately not get an opportunity to do that due to amount of time lapsed. Please do give us another opportunity when we reopen in May 2021 for leisure guests, I can reassure you that you will have a great experience. with kind regards

Stayed at the Mercure last week due to work. Beautiful lobby and bar area. The rest of the hotel has seen better days. However, deserves a five star review as the staff were great and the breakfast was hot and lovely, served again in the glorious lobby. Would be back. Shame the restaurant was closed because of pandemic.

Came to Leicester to meet friends and loved it. Mercure still has an old world charm and a lot of character. Not to mention the lovely staff. It is not perfect and our room could do with an uplift. However it would not stop us from coming back. Shame that the restaurant was closed due to pandemic. On the flip side hot breakfast was excellent.

In the midst of a pandemic, greeted by a dirty room and a smelly bathroom. Whole place seems in decline. Some lovely staff working their socks off, but can’t cover up the need for a pretty major refurbishment.
