LOOK AT THE PHOTOS FROM ROOM 9. The room smelled unpleasant upon entry. I couldn't suss it at 1st. A while later I went to open a window and its covered in black mould. The bathroom too. Its not happened over night. Its been like this for many months. I stay in hotels twice a week all over the UK, I have never seen anything like this in 20 years. The whole hotel is looking shabby, paint peeling everywhere. The maintenance here is disgraceful. They must have been closed in early covid months, perfect time to touch up issues. This hotel is badly run. I contacted HO to inform them but they ignored it. That speaks volumes. I will never use this chain ever again. Shame on them. Its also a health risk. The bathroom extraction is faulty too. TV from a time forgotten. Wifi very poor.

Good food, good service, and nice clean rooms. And the staff were all so friendly, helpful and welcoming - to us and our dogs - it really made the weekend extra special and much better than we'd expected from a chain hotel.

Yet again the Field Head delivered another memorable visit. The food was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely meal served by our warm and friendly host Rachel and the relaxing unhurried atmosphere was a pleasant change from some other restaurant chains. A little piece of luxury with a touch of rustic class nestled in an easy to reach part if Leicestershire. Well worth the visit and we will be returning very soon

I went to the Fieldhead Hotel to enquire about booking a space for a 50th birthday gathering of 30 people. Jason was so accommodating with providing me his time to listen to how I wanted my party and did his upmost best to make sure I got everything I needed. And he didn’t fail. Jason decorated the 3 rooms with white linen table cloths, put fairy lights on to jazz up the spaces and also put candles on each table to add a finishing touch. I was so impressed and it made it so much easier for me to add my personal touch and add the birthday decorations which I wanted. My Echo dot would not connect but Ceran the assistant manager was so kind he let me use his personal Bluetooth music player which he charged up for me. He made sure I had everything I needed. I want to say thank you to Skye, Ceran, Meg and Lily for making sure we all had a drink and attending to anything that people needed. Now let’s talk about the food. I organised a buffet and every guest at the party complimented the food and said that the spread was tasty, fresh, well prepared and presented. Jason even made sure they catered for my two gluten-free guests and labelled them on the table. The buffet gets a 5 star. Jason again ensured that we were happy at all times before he clocked off shift and handed over his Deputy Manager Sean to make sure we had everything we needed for the night. Sean was very pleasant and made sure our party was running smoothly. He even came and spoke to me at the end of the night and asked if we all had a goodnight. I honestly would recommend the Fieldhead hotel to anyone interested in hiring out function room. My recommendation would be to ask for the 3 spaces below the restaurant and Barr. It’s a hidden gem! Thank you Fieldhead for a great evening. The birthday brothers and guest left very happy indeed and all had a great night. Five star review from me!

First time visitor recently and was looked after by the manager Jason. The courtyard had a relaxed feel with drinkers enjoying the atmosphere. Hotel room itself was fantastic, modern, clean and spacious. Will return in the future.
