We came to Leicester for a three night gig at the De Montfort hall to see Marillion. There were six of us. We stayed at the Maiyango hotel. It's an unusual hotel. The reception is on the third floor, but it has a nice bar and balcony looking over the square. We had asked for rooms facing the back because...

We stayed at the Hotel Maiyango whilst on a one night stay in Leicester for a wedding. I really didn't know what to expect as the hotel had been booked for us and on top of that the wife has very high and unforgiving standards. Thankfully I needn't have worried as the Hotel Maiyango is a great place to stay...

Monday night stay in Room 7. Woken at 5am by refuse collectors. Spent the next 3 hours listening to NEE-NAH, NEE-NAH, NEE-NAH...Bollards in Motion as delivery trucks to the Highcross Shopping Centre entered the pedestrian area unabated. As we were awake with little hope of further rest we made a cup of tea, only to find the milk in the...

Stayed hotel with my girlfriend Saturday night April 2017. Ideal spot city center if your out drinking all night, it's very noisy and we heard people outside until 3am, we left tv on to drown the noise out, so if your not out drinking I wouldn't stay here. Amazing tv but no sky and remote batteries flat. Bathroom shower amazing...

I booked this hotel for 2 nights approx 9 months prior to my visit as I had heard good things about it. It was for work so the dates were not flexible. I confirmed my stay a week before, yet less than 36 hours before my arrival the hotel called to say that due to a 'maintenance issue' I couldn't...

The hotel is very nice, good location and a nice terrace on the 3rd floor. We have a room each but my Colleague had to move rooms at 3.30am due to the noise of the air con in the hall way (room 12 if you get it). The guy on reception offered him a free breakfast for his trouble.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night only however we struggled to sleep due to the noise outside, the fact there was sunlight shining through the tops of the curtains and the bed was rock hard. The air conditioning was also very loud, to loud too leave it on whilst asleep therefore we had no choice to turn...

Weird that the reception is top floor so intruders ciuld make their way into room without oassing reception. Stayed in room 12 where all night we could hear a genorater constanly even with windows shut. No milk for morning tea or coffee was supplied in fridge or sachet. House keeping walked in us in the morning. Aoaet from that the...

3 night business stay. I felt a bit insecure, knowing that Reception is on the top floor and anyone could get buzzed in on the ground floor. But the room was nice, if a little worn. Top points for providing fresh milk. Everything worked. It was less noisy than I thought it would be. I'd probably return.

I really enjoyed this hotel. I stayed for a short overnight for business and while a bit quirky (the reception in on the 3rd floor) the hotel had nice large rooms with large bathrooms and unique furnishings. Made for a really good stay. Coffee making facilities in the room with proper filter coffee (in a single serving cafetière). I was...
