The Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre garners accolades for its cleanliness and the friendly, professional service, although some guests have encountered disorganization. Its stylish ambiance and convenient location near attractions like Albert Docks are highlights, despite occasional critiques of outdated decor and noise.
Amenities such as secure parking, diverse breakfast choices, and a well-appointed gym and pool come highly recommended. While the rooms are praised for cleanliness and views, their size and lack of modern touches draw mixed reviews, reflecting varied opinions on the hotel's overall value.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Liverpool and staying at the Crowne Plaza. The staff in all areas of the hotel were fabulous. Helpful, friendly and efficient, but they also went the extra mile to chat to us and take an interest in us as guests (particularly in the dining room). The doorman in top hat was a lovely surprise - it made us feel very special! The breakfast was very good, and the two evening meals we had were too. For breakfast, there was a lovely choice of fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, nuts, cereals as well as the hot and cold buffets. The restaurant offered a nice range of evening meals at a reasonable cost. The spa facilities were good with a nice size pool, a steam room and sauna. The hotel was very clean and in a great location, on the front and fairly near to the Albert docks (10 min walk) and to the town. There was a stop close by for the Guided bus tour too.
The only thing that disappointed us a little was that even after a few requests, we didn't get bathrobes. Also, we hung up our towels each day as we only used them once (albeit over the shower rail) but they were still changed daily. Lovely to have fresh towels, but really not necessary!

Visited Crowne Plaza in one of their new Outdoor Igloos for 6. Lovely way to spend an evening on the terrace, outdoors yet sheltered from the elements with lovely views of the dock area. All COVID guidelines adhered to and felt completely safe. Hand sanitizer provided in the igloos as well as soft blankets to keep you warm.
We choose 2 sharing platters from the Igloo menu, although there is plenty of other choice on the garden menu. Food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and attentive and made sure we were kept supplied with drinks, no long waits. If you’re looking for a place to go with friends would highly recommend you book the Crowne Plaza outdoor terrace.

At first glance on approach, the hotel looked lovely. The foyer was large and impressive. All the staff were lovely.
However, the hotel is used for weddings , it appears every day and as a result is extremely busy. The hotel is short staffed we were told. We asked for rooms to be cleaned but there was not enough house keeping staff to cope with the number of rooms. We stayed three nights and not once were our rooms cleaned. It did say on our booking in information we had to request housekeeping, which we did but it wasn’t done. We did not have tea/coffee/biscuits, toilet rolls/soap replaced. We hunted for housekeeping staff who were apologetic as we were not on their list for rooms to be cleaned despite requesting it, gave us supplies but it was not how a 5* hotel should operate and fell far short of the standard. We would have liked to have eaten in the hotel as after a day’s sightseeing with children it would have been lovely not to have to go out to eat. It is a good fifteen minutes walk from Albert Dock where most restaurants are and on a windy , cool, rainy evening we didn’t want to have to go out again but we had no option . We were told there was no chance of us being able to dine there on any of the three nights we stayed. We had corresponded by email prior to our visit and at no time were we warned how busy the hotel is due to weddings nor that we would be unable to dine there. We chose the hotel as it had a swimming pool and it was a treat for our grandchildren. In hindsight, it was not worth the extra cost. It was obvious the staff were rushed off their feet and I did feel for them. However, I had paid for a service which I feel was just not up to scratch and was not worth the money.
On the plus side, the breakfast was very good and I cannot fault the staff who were excellent even when harassed. The rooms were a good size and were clean. There was a large car park and it was easy, although expensive , to park.
Would I stay again? Sadly, probably not as the hotel did not live up to my expectations.

This was our 12th New Years Eve Ball at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool and was one of the best ! The room was configured differently this year with the stage adjacent to the bar and this worked well. The food was excellent-- even better than previous years , and the cheese course served individually worked so much better than having a large platter to be passed around. There was a sorbet between the starter and main which was a nice addition. There were no bacon butties at midnight this year but , to be honest, that`s just us being greedy! We stayed in a Club room as usual and this was spotlessly clean and well stocked and breakfast the next morning was great, plenty of choice in hot+cold and a plentiful supply of much needed coffee+tea! Many thanks to Louise in Events who arranged everything so perfectly for us and a mention to Michael on Reception who checked us in and out in such a friendly+ efficient manner ( as previous years). He always finds time to chat with us and makes us feel welcome. Thank you to all staff at Crowne Plaza Liverpool for helping us welcome in 2020 in such a perfect way. We will be back next New Years Eve!

We visited on the 27th of August as a last minute thing, the hotel is lovely and the decor is modern and smart which was nice and welcoming. The Mersey view from our room was amazing and so was the room service! The food was incredible! Hugely recommend the steak!
However! Even though we had coffee making facilities we had no spoons or milk, (they did bring them once asked) also we couldn’t connect to any WiFi for work. Also, within the room was a lot of dust and dirt, and things like broken ceiling tiles and door frames, which are minor but you know it hasn’t been cleaned properly and during these Covid times it isn’t good enough. I also feel like £22 for parking (discounted a little with the room) was extortionate when you’ve already paid a lot for the room especially when you have no other choice but to park there. The biggest problem was we ordered food service via the menu in the welcome pack they’ve gave us on check in, when we checked out the prices were hugely different, the prices were more expensive. We did question the front desk staff and apparently the wrong menus got sent out so they’ve taken them down conveniently the morning I complained. They did give us a refund, but if we didn’t notice it on the email sat in the car park before we made our long journey home then we may not have questioned it. imagine if they did this for one night in the 500 rooms etc then that’s a lot of money to overcharge people...

Hello Sophie M, Thanks for the stay and feedback. I am happy that you found the property modern and that you enjoyed the food. On the other hand, I am very sorry to hear about the condition of the room, internet service, and your experience with the food service, but I am glad they were able to rectify it. I have taken note of your comments and shared them with management for review to take necessary actions to address these concerns. I hope you give us a chance to host you again in the future. We were meeting with 3 other couples for a wedding anniversary weekend in Liverpool. We were all very happy with the hotel we picked. The parking was a great plus, right outside the door and £15 a night until 3pm on the day on departure. Nice not having to find a public car park and having to walk to a hotel...especially as it was during storm Dennis!
The room was a standard room but it was more than adequate; clean and well appointed and very comfortable. The bar area is massive and fantastic for a big group of people. We had drinks there before and after our meal out.
The breakfast is £15 a head but, it is by far one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. High quality ingredients, well cooked and a huge variety. You can have poached eggs cooked to order which were lovely. It’s more than value for money.
The overwhelming take away from the stay was how friendly everyone was, and I mean everyone. Reception, bar staff, housekeepers, breakfast staff, night porter, were all so lovely and friendly.
If we return to Liverpool we will certainly be staying in this hotel again.

We’ve just returned from a two night stay at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is clean, modern and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with all of the facilities and our room had an amazing view of the docks which made the stay even more lovely.
Location wise this hotel is perfectly situated and within easy walking distance of all the shops, bars and restaurants. The car park is easily accessible, is right outside of the hotel and reasonably priced. One small criticism would be the car park is rather small and the spaces aren’t too big so people do need to be careful when parking up and getting in and out of the car. My car did get scratched during the stay - but this is at no fault of the hotel and probably just someone not being too cautious when getting in or out of their own car.
We were really impressed with the Covid measures in place. Face masks were worn unless sat in the bar/restaurant and hand wash was strategically placed all around the hotel.
We’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Liverpool and will book to stay here again in the future!

Stayed previously at this hotel, which is why we chose it again, the location is excellent, easy walk to the city centre and Albert Dock, on site parking. Booked a room with a river view, perfect. Check in by Elly was efficient and friendly, made us feel very welcome and gave us complimentary drinks for our anniversary, thank you. Originally located on the 4th floor but it was too noisy with noise from a nearby plant room, Ben in reception found us another room at 2am in the morning, he was amazing, moved us to room 326 on the 3rd floor, a lovely night's sleep was had. We were lucky during our 4 night stay the weather was warm and sunny, the air conditioning worked great in the room and kept it cool. Housekeeping was efficient and friendly. Hairdryer provided in the room, together with an ironing board and iron. Beds super comfy. We ate in the hotel restaurant each evening, the choice of menu was not vast but enough for 4 nights, every meal we had was really good and Lauren in the bar / restaurant looked after us very well, she went out of her way to help. Breakfast was plentiful and very good, again very good service. Every member of staff was helpful, especially in reception when we asked about local places of interest. Covid-19 rules were being observed, the hotel was very clean. We used the swimming pool, it was great to have a swim after so long. Places of interest worth visiting are nearby Crosby Beach and Formby Beach. We cannot fault this hotel or the staff, they treat you like valued customers, more like friends really. We had a lovely anniversary staycation as our holiday abroad had been cancelled, our holiday in Liverpool was one of the best holidays we've had. You all made our our holiday special in these difficult times, you really are the best team, thank you.

We took a staycation from Scotland & choose this Hotel due to location & modern interiors with great leisure facilities & it didn’t disappoint…… we took a mid week break & stayed in the Furlough Suite which overlooked the Mersey great seeing the ships & cruiseliners coming into Liverpool. The rooms were fab modern, large with a separate seating area to lounge & large bedroom really comfortable bed & pillows & bathroom spotless clean, lots of soft large towels. We had soft drinks & water available on arrival ……. The location is great just a short walk to the Mersey pier to get the Cruise Tour Boat & walking distance to the shops & Albert Dock. Breakfast was great all choices available & till 10.30am. Very attentive staff Johanne was brilliant catered to our every need & greeted us daily thank you …..You must wear a mask on movement throughout the Hotel & it’s all marked for social distancing throughout with lots of dispensers for hands. After a year of no holidays it was brilliant getting away we were safe & sound & had a magic time…..

No key card is required for the lift, just rooms and executive club lounge.
I never used it but I don’t think you do just ask reception or ring them
Not sure as it was included. Maybe £18. It was lovely. Best
