Spent two nights at The Royal whilst visiting family in the area. It is a lovely traditional hotel close to the beaches and ' Another Place' by Antony Gormley. The room we had was clean and functional and the bathroom spotless. We were by a road and you could hear a little noise but nothing that caused any problems at...

I have stayed at this lovely Hotel twice and not been disappointed, it is in a lovely location looking over to the River Mersey beyond a Park outside, It is a quiet area, but the merseyrail is a close walk away giving access to Liverpool and Southport, Car Parking facilities available outside the Hotel. I have had a sibgle room...

We arranged to have my mothers 90th birthday lunch here for 60 people. We had been for lunch previously and enjoyed the food so decided to book the restaurant for a private function. The room was set out very well for 60 people with a buffet style lunch. The food was very good, we chose a set buffet which had...

Came up with two friends for an annual visit locally. Had to look for different Hotel on this occasion as, alas, the Park House Guest House has closed down. This really fit the bill : convenient, reasonable prices, parking, and such exceptionally friendly staff. They had not picked up from my booking via Booking.com that I have mobility problems and...

We were looking for affordable accommodation in liverpool this weekend and came across the Royal which is 15-20mins from the town centre and slightly less to Anfield. For half the price of a room in the city we had a top floor twin room, with comfy beds, a powerful shower and big fluffy towels. We ate in the bar in...

This was my first visit to the Royal Hotel and certainly would not be the last. Some friends and I come to Crosby once a year to attend an annual old school function and the Royal provides the perfect staging post to rest weary bodies after an abundance of banqueting. The hotel is very clean, although some parts of the...

We had a 2 night break and stayed in room 5. The room was very comfortable and quiet, which we had requested (the floor was a little creaky but that's a minor point) We loved the hotel bar, very welcoming & cosy. Breakfast was great & the staff were all friendly, we've already booked to go again in the summer!

Friendly hotel which is clean comfortable but traditional. There is not lift. So if you have a problem with stairs ask for a ground floor. I was on 2nd floor. Rm 24. Wooden floor carpeted. The odd squeak by the bed which was not a problem to me but may have irritated the floor below. The ensuite bathroom is immaculate...

We recently had cause to stay at the Royal for a family get together. The staff prepared us a lovely buffet, special mention for the Greek salad very good with drinks. Our room was spacious and comfortable, it was only for one night with a varied breakfast of juices, toast, cereals, yogurts, full English or lots of other hot choices....
