We don't blame you. We are more than a place to stay in the very heart of London; it's a hub of London culture and your personal gateway into what is, in our opinion, one of the coolest places in London. The Megaro Hotel garners acclaim for its attentive service and vibrant, quirky atmosphere, with themed rooms that guests find clean and comfortable. Its prime location near King's Cross/St. Pancras is a highlight for travelers, though some mention that noise can be an issue, despite efforts like earplugs to mitigate it. The hotel's amenities are generally praised, but there are mixed feelings about the value, with some guests expecting more for the price. Overall, the Megaro offers a unique and eclectic stay in the heart of the city.

We booked the Megaro for a one night stay in London. We needed to be in the Kings Cross area and it looked like a good choice based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and Google. We generally prefer a more boutique style hotel and the Megaro seemed to fit the bill. The first thing to mention is that currently there is a huge building site next to the hotel so aside from the fact that the Megaro is located on one of London's major roads it also has the added noise from the works. Once we entered the hotel we did have a very warm welcome from the receptionist. We were too early to check in but were able to leave our bags while we were out and about. On our return we were checked in and then given our room key and told where to find it. This isn't the kind of hotel where you are shown to your room. Our room (a classic double) was 509 located on the 5th floor. On entering the room first impressions were not great. It was unbearably hot and some of the furnishings were a little shabby. There was no voile/net curtain for privacy. The bath had some mould under the glass tiles surrounding it and the taps were very scratched. The receptionist was able to adjust our air conditioning so the room did cool down, however during the night the air conditioning was noisy. I had to use ear plugs which I had brought from home (the hotel does provide some but they were no good). Breakfast in the morning was fine but given that the restaurant is Italian it was surprising to learn that if you wanted a cappuccino, rather than the filter coffee on offer, you would have to pay extra. The hotel was adequate for one night but I am afraid I would not book again. The price is far too high for the standard of accommodation. Previously we have stayed in the Amano in Covent Garden which was less expensive, much better maintained, had a great breakfast offering and also a fabulous roof top bar so we will be going back there or even to the Premier Inn Hub!

This is one cool and quirky place to stay. Great location close to the station but a great personal feel and lovely staff. We were really impressed and will stay again. The welcome was lovely and the complimentary mini bar was very welcome and unusual when measured against what much bigger hotels give!

Great hotel! We loved the staff, amenities and location. The room was super comfortable and great for our family of 3 and the location is fantastic for easy in and off the tube to multiple locations including in the city and day trips. I would highly recommend and we would definitely consider again when we come for leisure.

Fantastic location; tube, train, lovely walks by Regent's Canal, lots of restaurants, short journey to many spots. The hotel is stylish with wonderful staff who went out of their way to help! Thank you especially to Monica 😀 They even gave their own steampunk themed cocktail bar.

Perfect location and staff were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful in all parts of the hotel from check in, cocktail bar and breakfast. We were out for supper but the breakfast was really good together with the service. Our room was a little “tatty”, worn out and stained carpet, scruffy parts of furniture and wash basin taps but everywhere clean and tidy. Hairdryer provided but no available socket anywhere near a mirror!! Really not one to go on trip advisor to have a moan but having read all the positive reviews was really looking forward to our stay, but a little disappointed as this was a surprise birthday celebration 😞

Best Hotel in Paddington and probably London. Alice was so helpful and friendly as was Monica. All our needs were catered for. We loved it and so did our little terrier. They left a bed and some bowls for her. And gave her treats and cuddles. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located right next to Kings Cross Station, so close to international train links and a major public transport station. Our room was large, nicely decorated and neat. There is a good free WIFI connection. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. In the morning we had a tasty breakfast with table service. Luggage could be stored, free of charge, in the hotel before check-in and after check-out without any problem.

Decent stay, other than the >15 bed bug bites I got. Proximity to King's Cross is convenient during the day, but can get loud at night, especially if your room faces the station. Have I mentioned the bed bugs? Would not stay at the Megaro again, for obvious reasons (the bugs).

Such a lovely overnight stay. I'm not a fan of hotels usually but everything here was perfect - gorgeous quirky decor, cleanliness, comfy bed, delicious food, super friendly reception and restaurant staff. I felt the genuine staff really made the difference for me. I'd love to visit again.
