Very good value for money. Front desk staff especially Doris and Marco are very helpful and its always a pleasure to deal with them. Good location for pubs and cafes. Very convenient for publuc transport to the locations i need to work from.

Don't go if you suffer from coeliac disease as they do not cater for you. No apology is given for this either. The manager was not helpful and would only refer me to Customer Services on their website. The room is comfortable enough but breakfast cost £8.25 for only a cup of tea and a small bowl of fruit salad.

Stayed with family for short break. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient. Did not use the breakfast service, so cannot advise. Would return to this hotel for future visits. Very competitive price.

Very close to Southwark tube - Jubilee line, this Travelodge is in an excellent location for visiting central London at a budget price - much cheaper than the one in Covent Garden. It is close to the river and there are a few pubs and places to eat close by.

I stayed here for 2 night in a family room, the hotel is in a fantastic location 2 min walk to Southwark tube and 20 min walk into London. There are lots of places to eat nearby and local shops. The rooms are basic and clean but everything you need, only 2 plug sockets in the room could do with...

The hotel was easy to find, well located less than 2 minutes from nearest tube and so less than 15 minutes from anywhere. Basic but comfy clean and warm as we only used it to sleep wash and store our stuff it could not have been better.

In both regards to the location, excellent. Close to Southwark station direct communication with all of London and also close to the south bank of the Thames. But the service leaves something to be desired. We were requesting at reception for four days to provide us with adapters to use our electronic devices and always told us that they were...

Stayed here for a second time. This time I was located on the third floor at the rear of the hotel. Room was literally over the rail tracks. One beneath the window, one higher than window level so privacy is impossible! Due to said location the window was sealed and wasn't possible to open. Whilst having a shower this turned...

We recently stayed here for 1 night, and I must say this hotel was a great value for money. The staff were lovely and helpful, the room was clean and spacious. The bed in particular was fabulous. Great location, near to main attractions and only a 5 minute walk from the tube. The only downside could be that there is...

The hotel was clean and comfortable and much quieter than other London hotels I've stayed in. It was a 3 minute walk to the tube and about 10-15 mins tube ride to most London attractions. The breakfast was nice with lots of choice and the room wasn't too hot.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
