Citystay is a decent hotel in estern london located 1 minute from a DLR station and 5 minutes from the tube (20-30 minute ride to main attractions). We landed on stansted airport so it took us about an hour to reach the hotel. The staff was friendly, we could get a power-adaptor from the front desk because we forgot ours...

Beside a busy road this looks like a rather rundown building and your first reaction may well be OMG! But don''t be put off. Inside the carpets are old, the walls scuffed and it feels very budget but they've tried really hard. The rooms are small but the beds are so comfortable with crisp white bed linen. The shower room...

This would have to be the worst hotel I have stayed in! Even if you are travelling on a low budget, bypass this establishment....on arrival the person on reception had NO customer service qualities or even an interest in welcoming us. We had to lug our cases up 3 flights of very narrow steep stairs to get to our room....

When we arrived the door was opened by an unsmiling man who didn't even bother to say hello. Our room was up three flights of stairs, was very small, the curtains were falling down and wouldn't close properly, the street was very noisy with sirens and traffic roaring past all night. The bed was OK but the pillows were sparse...

Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life. The staff were ignorant, didn`t speak, ignored my email request for an early check in (although wasn`t really a problem as we could leave luggage there). When we finally arrived back at the hotel later that day, we entered our room to find a man praying in there!!...

Visited during the winter, the room was cozy, the shower was hot and there was decent wifi. The people in charge are very friendly. There are lots of 'free' stuff in the kitchen and dining area. You can have fruits, cereal, milk, cookies, crisps - all free of charge and at any hr of the day. It's not a 5...

Ok and polite hotel staff but the rooms were dark and dirty. I had a room with shared Bathroom. The bathroom was disgusting with bad smell and dirty walls. The kitchen was over flooding with food and the fridge was dirty and had bad smell. Price was ok but you get poor standard.
