Didn't expect much for the price but it really was shocking. The guy on reception said that they only had 1 bed spare when we'd booked for 2 people, this had been booked over a month in advance. Didn't really seem to know what he was doing to be honest. Lots of strange people about. Stayed here as its within... More

The staff were really friendly, the cleaners were busy tidying up after us all, they have new showers for the men now...came a year ago...and a new laundry, since my last stay!! Very friendly relaxed vibe. Obviously the pub venue downstairs is super cool with amazing bands. I highly recommend it. I am definitely a seasoned traveller, but what's not... More

Located in Brixton, the hootenanny is quite interesting. When I first arrived I wasn't sure I was in the right place as it looked like a large empty house. But soon someone hollered from above they would be down. I was taken inside this large dark bar like place and led upstairs to the hostel check in. The hostel part... More

The good things first: its probably one of the cheapest places to stay in london. The Location is good! Brixton is a nice area not far from the center. Its a 10 min walk to the underground and about 10-15 min ride to the center. The staff is really nice and helpfull! Breakfast is included (toast, yam, cornfalkes, milk, coffee,... More

it might not be everyone's cup of tea but if you want a true mix of Brixton's residents who are all out for the best evening possible then this is the place for you. Get there in the evening but before they start charging on the door (and bring your ID no matter how old you are) and soak up... More

I stayed here because it was cheap and I feel I paid too much. It's dirty, smells of stale beer, and the music is so loud downstairs it makes the bunks shake. Also the duvets/pillows aren't changed between use, only the sheets are. There are codes to get into every door which is annoying. I saved them in my phone... More

This place is a complete dump and full of skanks. The smell in the room we were allocated resembled a teenagers bedroom. I know that this is a cheap place to "try" to get your head down but the condition of the place is terrible, the building needs to be condemned and flattened! The ablutions were offensive, the showers didn't... More

stayed for a DJ set at Brixton Academy, no complaints easy to find friendly staff and met some great people who were going to the same gig as us. For many of the group it was there first time in a hostel and they had no issues. Fully recommend.

This has a great location. It is near the tube, bus, shopping, parks, and places to go out for the night. This place has good food in the bar and it is decently priced. It was beautiful near the holidays with all the Christmas trees in the back.
