I stopped in Albany Hotel with my mother for the night on a trip to London. Being from the north east we are not used to the hustle of busy cities. Albany Hotel is a great location away from all of that just off Tavistock place. Friendly environment and extremely comfortable rooms and a lovely dainty breakfast as if served... More

Excellent location in central London but sadly very dirty with shared bathroom between three other bedrooms and on different level. Hotel was also quite cold when we arrived so we had to ask the manager to put the heating on which he did . The net curtains were black and we don't think they were ever washed . The furniture... Wram, drry and clean, no frills hotel that is one step up from a private room in a hostel but that is what you expect at this price in central London! A short walk from teh underground and bus stops. Fine for a night away on business.

I booked the Albany the night before a business trip as the Holiday Inn (Bloomsbury) had cancelled my booking without notifying me!!! (Side note: never book the Holiday Inn They were very unprofessional). The Albany is situated between King's Cross and Russel Sq. which was a perfect location for me, but it would also be extremely convenient for anyone staying... More

The hotel is nice, small, cute and staff welcoming. The place does have some atmosphere. Our room was small but not extremely, convenient enough for two nights. You can see interior is generally worn out but well maintained. Would stay again for a short-term stay with no doubts.

Too expensive for what it offers. Beds are noisy and uncomfortable. Bathroom needs improvment. Breakfast is not enough. Hospitality is ok. Place is quiet and very central. Room was clean but very old.

Stayed here when I visited London for the weekend with my sister. Very helpful manager, clean rooms and bathrooms, comfy beds and good breakfast. Basic but we were looking for cheap so it was very good value for money! Breakfast was cornflakes, toast and tea/coffee/juice, if you're looking for something more there were lots of places nearby.

Great location, handy for main stations and the tube. The owners were pleasant and helpful, and, for a budget room, it had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, with extra bedding/pillows if required, and a basic but perfectly adequate breakfast was provided. Would certainly use again for the price for the ease of access.

“My only problem was that the central heating was on all night and there didn't seem to be a way to turn off the radiator, so I was too hot. But it was a very cold weekend, and I suspect most people would see this as an advantage!! ”
