The Ned hotel is celebrated for its lively luxury and extensive amenities, including a gym, pool, spa, and multiple dining options, with many guests praising its spotless rooms and well-kept common areas. However, opinions on service and room quality are mixed; some guests commend the attentive staff and comfortable rooms, while others report unprofessional service and maintenance issues. While the vibrant atmosphere and live music are highlights, the experience may be marred for some by excessive service charges, noise, and crowding.

It was a trip for my daughter's birthday. I'd seen the hotel advertised on an NHS meeting I'd had.

The immediate responses to emails, easy booking of one of their many restaurants and questions answered immediately.

Turned up, easy reach immediately out of Bank underground entrance. Case taken from me, and from the moment of walking through the doors to leaving, care and consideration was shown by ALL the staff.

The room was just out of this world. Deco style, spacious and super clean. A variety of shampoos, body washes, toothpastes, everything you need. A beautiful mercury glassed cabinet housing a fridge with all the cocktails etc you could wish for. Tea, coffee and all in between too.

We ordered a cab from reception to the Tate Britain on leaving the doorman was so polite and asked about where we were going. We were gone quite some time and on returning the man asked us how the exhibition was! He didn't need to remember what me and a 100 others were doing once out of the hotel, but here we were being asked and in a genuine manner.

We ate at the Italian restaurant and it was not rushed. At the end of our main course we were asked about sweet, on return the waiter had given my daughter a chocolate cake with a candle and happy birthday written on it for her. Amazing, because the only time I'd mentioned that it was her birthday was in an email saying, I'm coming with my daughter for her birthday, so don't worry if it's a double bed, we'll share.

Food, cocktails, all excellent. No rush anywhere. A call for milk on retiring to the room was super quick delivery. Had a small issue with the dimmer switch and this was rectified super quick, with appropriate humour for my issue of "buggering it up!"

The vault area was stunning, the building awesome and the decoration of the rooms sympathetic to the building.

The sleep was perfect. Beds were massive, pillows to sink into and the room quiet and dark.

From start to finish, excellent. I am so happy to recommend the Ned and can't wait until another stay.

Well done Ned Team, you smashed it. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

The present review is based upon a conference with drinks, we did not see the bedrooms.

The location, in the same block as i.a. Bank of China, in the street opposite to THE Bank (the central bank), is unbeatable for its City proximity.

The place is beautiful and stylish (I noted the carpets, colourful and original), and the food served combined sophisticated gourmet elements with cheap beer and stuffy, unrefined things: call that an eclectic menu.

A bar featured a lone singer, around 5 pm (early for after-works or dinner, but never mind, it fitted into the atmosphere).

This place has a lot to offer, and can be recommended for different types of business gatherings.

My friend and I went to London for a girls night away for her birthday. She had selected the ned for the location, facilities and overall style of the hotel and we were not disappointed. We stayed in a larger room as this also gave us access to the pool etc and was a more luxurious stay.
We had organised a cake and champagne for the room (they offer a range of birthday extras that can be purchased) the cake was huge. The mattress and pillows were super comfortable like sleeping on a cloud. The room was clean and the products to use during your stay are amazing. The pool is very nice. The spa offers a range of treatments, we enjoyed a pre dinner manicure.
The breakfast you can order to the room is nice but I wouldn't say amazing value for money when you look at what is available near by.
Gary was a stand out member of staff and helped us with the cake debarkle of Jan 2020! Overall there is a lot to see and do in this hotel.

The hotel itself is stunning! We found the food, staff, interiors and atmosphere all wonderful. However, there was one factor that had a negative impact on our stay, it has a members club.
We were not very happy to learn that if we wanted to use the gym and pool facilities we had to pay extra. We were expected to pay an extra 20 pounds per person per day. We have traveled to many hotels around the world and we have never been required to pay extra for general hotel facilities! We complained and we were basically told that because it is a members club and they pay so many pounds per year that they have to charge their guests for these facilities. One of the nights we wanted to go to the nightclub down stairs and we were asked to pay full admission, I believe it was 20 pounds, there was no guest discount. Also, when we went to have a drink in the lobby one of the nights it was very busy and there were no seats available, we were standing with our drinks against a ledge and we were asked to move as it was an area reserved for members only! There was no area reserved for guests. Members clearly receive priority over hotel guests. We were not made aware of this policy when we booked and we were quite disappointed with this treatment.

Dear 405niamhc, Thank you for your feedback about your recent stay. Access to Ned's Club areas depend upon the room category booked and whether you've booked directly with The Ned or via a third party. Large bedrooms and above have full access throughout their stay, smaller category rooms are able to purchase access upon check-in. We're sorry to hear that this wasn't clearly communicated to you via your booking choice, and we'll be sure to feed this back into all our booking channels. We're happy to see that you enjoyed our stunning grand hall and that you enjoyed the atmosphere that we have created here at The Ned. Please feel free to reach out to us directly for your next stay with us. Many thanks, The Ned

Our daughter and son in law booked for us to go to the Sunday Ned’s Feast as a Christmas present, we arrived at around 11:45 for our 12:00 booking, the reception was a little disappointing to be told by the reception staff to come back and join the queue even though we had a reservation!

Once we had queued at 12:00 we were shown to a table in Lutyens Grill, a little deceptive as there was no grill but, compared to the reception the staff were wonderful, they explained everything about how the process worked, gave us our complimentary glass of Prosecco along with the cutlery.

The buffet is served in Millies and duplicated both sides of the serving area and is plentiful, once we selected our food we returned to our table, once finished our plates were removed and fresh cutlery placed on the table in order that we could have more delicious food, you have 2 hours in all and that is more than enough, I’m sure that some people would be able to manage more than 2 trips but, for us 2 was plenty along with desert and coffee.

All in all it was good value and we would go back again.

As a retired customer service manager the only disappointing thing was the reception we received but, the bar and restaurant staff made up for this by being genuinely warm and welcoming.

What a fantastic hotel. It has a real grown up adult Luxury vibe. They have thought of everything. We chose a gorgeous heritage room 521 which was just incredible. We had a lounge area and a really comfortable super king four poster bed. We had a bath in our room which was an added treat. The bathroom with under floor heating, had everything you may have forgotten - you seriously don’t need to bring toiletries! Hairdryer powerful and super hot straighteners!
We ate in Cecconi’s which was lovely, the crab and the sea bass were a hit! Nice to watch/listen to the entertainment and this makes it feel like nowhere else.
We headed to the roof terrace bar for a drink after dinner and found it to be nice and warm and cosy and not busy which was great. A quick chilly look outside confirmed the views were spectacular.
Then we headed to the vault for another drink and to see what it was all about. It was exciting and lots of fun. DJ on our night was a little alternative playing great remixes and then some odd choices (ABBA) but hey it was a mixed crowd!
To confirm answers to some of the previous reviews - our room was quiet we had a great sleep and the bed was honestly the most comfortable I can remember sleeping in.
Breakfast on the roof was delicious and a great end to our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to grown ups who still love a great time!!

We recently got married at the Ned, and it was amazing. Marteen and Bianca arranged and managed a perfect wedding day. From our 1st meeting with them, through to the big-day, their attention to detail, professionalism and communication was excellent.

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Ned. The day ran smoothly, with no hiccups. Our guests commented how amazing the food was, and that no glass was ever left empty, the waitering team were continually topping up everyone's drinks, day and night.

The suites available both pre and during our wedding were amazing too. From the day we arrived, our room had multiple thoughtful touches, including champagne in the bridal suite, whisky in the grooms suite, and more champagne on the night of our wedding. In short, we were made to feel really special throughout the wedding weekend.

Arranging a wedding during a global pandemic is stressful, but the Ned team were amazing. Everything was continually being cleaned, the staff all wore masks, and all of our guests were made to feel safe, yet still have fun.

If you're looking for an elegant, sophisticated London wedding, then the Ned is the place to go.
Whilst the Ned is a high-end establishment, they were exceptionally children friendly too. The staff really cared about making our wedding special for everyone, regardless of age!

Marteen, Bianca and all the team, thank you for hosting such a perfect wedding day and weekend.

We will be back!!

Absolutely awful - the people that work here seem to think that everyone that isn’t a member isn’t worth their time, and looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common complaint. Unless you’re a member, don’t bother staying at the hotel.
I booked a room and applied for a temp membership to use the facilities after speaking to a staff member on the phone who told me the new process (I’ve stayed a quite a few times and they used to let anyone with a hotel booking use the facilities, then changed it to large rooms or above, and have now changed it to an application process).
I was declined the membership - I phoned the staff again and they told me to apply for a few dates and I’ll be accepted on some, so I applied for about 25 separate dates. I understood I would get declined if they’re busy, so had no problem with this.
I didn’t even get responses for my my applications!
I emailed the team and asked why I haven’t had responses for over a week and when they eventually answered they said they won’t give anyone passes any more! I emailed them back saying someone in their team had told me to apply and they haven’t even responded to that or my chasing emails.
This is false advertising and their staff are completely lying! They are very rude and I have always found over the years that they just don’t care about people that aren’t members.
They have really annoyed a loyal customer (I work nearby and also used to come to dinner / lunch a lot) and I will not longer be coming to a place that seems to value drunk people doing drugs in their toilets more than loyal customers. It’s gone from a classy place to a grimy bar.

Dear georgiajc, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We do have a membership programme with The Ned and exclusive members areas to the hotel. We have always tried to accommodate as many hotel guests as possible to experience these spaces of The Ned, however as we adapt to these strange new times and under government guidelines, we sadly have to prioritise these spaces for our members. We hope that you will return and remember we have many other facilities and restaurants at The Ned for all to enjoy. We hope to welcome you back again soon, The Ned

A fabulous building that has been renovated in a very clever way. We had a crash pad which was very good for its price, and the range of toiletries is amazing - nothing has been forgotten. The one thing I did have an issue with was the light level. The lights aren’t bright enough and it’s pretty much impossible to make a drink in the wardrobe unless you use the light on your mobile phone. The refreshments fit in there really well but you just cannot see them. And there wasn’t even a light in the right place to cover this area. To the management of this hotel, please go in one of the rooms and make a drink in there and see it from a guests perspective.

Also the checking in process was quite long and convoluted. One of the receptionists was quite frosty and not at all welcoming, the process is not helped by the general noise levels. It seems as if some of the personal service is missing due to the large numbers of guests staying, which is a shame.

If you are thinking of staying here, be aware that you will not be able to use all the hotel amenities. In fact as a hotel guest you are treated as a second class citizen to Ned Club members. I would strongly advise you to investigate options as to what areas you can use in the hotel. Amazingly, the hotel has no control over its roof terrace or basement cocktail areas. You would need to make an application to use these areas even though on the website it says that access is permitted to these areas.

Dear Londoner016, We'd like to thank you for taking the time to review your experience at The Ned. We are very sorry to hear that you were not pleased with your experience. The Ned has it's own members and priority for using the member club spaces is given to them. We do want our guests to enjoy these spaces too, but in order to not reach maximum capacity, and to keep the exclusivity of our club spaces for our members, we do have to limit how many guests of the hotel can access the club spaces. Any guest of the hotel, that books directly with us, can apply for a temporary membership access, we do hope that you will return soon and hopefully be able to experience our club spaces. Many thanks,

Going to the spa but wondering best place to have lunch within the NED?
security t asked a question May 2023
Are you looking for a stressful and inequitable place of work as a security officer ? a place where you can't conduct your duties and can't express yourself ? a place plenty of homophobic and racial jokes ? a place where the manager Daniel is sleeping 24/7 ? a place ruled by biased people ? do you want to be discriminated every single day ? In such case welcome to the Ned security department ! Here everything is permitted . On one condition . To be romanian . If you are romanian you can do everything you want . You can bully the other no romanians members of the staff (like Christian is doing ) you can make fun of them because of their nationality ,colour of their skin or religion. You can be arrogant and you can speak down to people like Andrej does . Here you can have better life only for romanians , better shifts only for romanians , better food prepared only for romanians by the night chefs as they prepare for Monica . not at the canteen . If you are romanian you can start your shift late after 7 and finish early before 7 . Gareth and Jessica have a look at CCTV ! please ! If you are romanian you can take home everything you want at the end of your shift . not only food . But if you are not romanian your position is at permanent risk . you will be belittled and if you speak out about the daily abuses you will be eliminated . you will be lose your job instantly . You must obey in silence if you are not romanian . Thank you for your leadership mister Mihaila Daniel , You are a great leader . When you are awake .
