Although this travelodge is in a fantastic location for exploring London it is not in a good location for sleeping!!!! We were on the 5th floor and our rooms overlooked the railway line. The trains stopped at midnight and started again around 5am. Worth asking for a room on the opposite side of the hotel. The hotel itself is excellent...

The rooms are very basic but clean. Our room was located on the second floor and on the opposite side of the railway tracks, so outside noise was very limited. Beds were comfortable We paid for wi-fi, which worked well and breakfast that was good, it was a typical English breakfast with meat and vegetarian sausage options, fruit, yogourt, cereal,...

You just can't fault Travel Lodge for their good value. Clean, comfortable room, helpful staff and knowing exactly what you will get for your money - no nasty surprises. This location was great for our long weekend. Room a bit small and shower room dinky too, but hey, we were busy being tourists and not sitting about in our room!...

Brilliant location in London about two minutes from tower bridge. It is also placed directly across the road from Weatherspoons so makes it handy for a drink or an early breakfast. The tube station was also a two minute walk away which made it very easy to commute to anywhere in London. The hotel is everything you expect from a...

My wife and I spent a few nights here and used it as a base for sightseeing. The rooms are comfortable, but basic. What you expect with a budget hotel. I would say it would have got another star but for the lack of storage space for clothes. The breakfast was excellent and really sets you up for the day...

No major problems with the hotel although water pressure is terrible - more of a drizzle than a shower. However, being greeted with loud pop videos is hardly welcoming. Switch it off. You will be subjected to this if you eat here aa well. My advice use the Wetherspoons acroos the road - better prices and no divisive music.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago after a trip to the west end to the theatre, this travelodge has a good location and was very comfortable to stay in, I was very surprised that considering this is so close to the city that it was only £69 for the night, always a comfortable nights stay at a travelodge

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
