The Oakley Hotel is a charming and well run small hotel in one of the nicest neighborhoods in London. It's great place to save money without compromising on quality in a very expensive city. The money you will save on accomodation staying here can be used on the amazing eats and fanastic theater choice available. Its major selling point is...

The Oakley Hotel, in up-scale Chelsea, London, is a delightful and price-worthy alternative to both expensive boutique hotels and soul-less chain hotels. It is a great place to save money in a very expensive city. It is an on-going home-grown renovation, a personal labor of love, a charming spot in which to settle whilst in London. If you are expecting...

A small hotel in the heart of Chelsea, made of carpeted stairs and bedrooms on different floors with or without bathrooms en suite, some to share. With or without a garden view, one with a four poster bed ! A full English breakfast is thrown in the price and the place is always full. Book early. The welcome is friendly...

Although hotel is not 5 star you get how much you pay even more. One of the best things is great english breakfast and you can also use the kitchen to make a tea or coffee. Bed is quite comfortable. If you plan to spend a day outside not stick to a hotel room this hotel is great choice. After...

first impressions weren't good. The reception was just a corridor with dated furnishings. When arriving in the room very basic with double bed and a grubby en suite bathroom with mould growing in the shower, however the beds were quite comfortable with clean bedding and towels. The room on looked the street and got very hot at night, had to...

Amazingly cheap hotel in great location just off the Kings Road. Very run down and in need of total refurbishment, wallpaper peeling off and very dated. However, for the cost cannot expect much more, at least the bedding and rooms are clean and fine just for a place to lay your head. Wouldn't recommend for a romantic stay or if...

Stayed here overnight with my sister before our long haul trips back to Australia a couple of weeks ago. Had organised late check in due to our flight from Prague arriving late and had no problem finding the keys or the room. Were even able to get ourselves some cups of tea from the breakfast room at midnight. Room is...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
