We have stayed in other parts of London but prefer Bloomsbury because of the ease of being able to walk into the West End and easy access to Covent Garden, Oxford Street and also the local pub and restaurant scene. This is the fourth hotel we have used in this area. Like the others, it is close to the British...

The first night of our stay in London, we stayed at this hotel. Nice and comfortable rooms, very quiet for the area of London. Excelent breakfast and a good bar. The second two nights, we stayed a litle bit further away from the center of london. The main reason was because the hotels in the center of London are at...

I stopped at the Kingsley for my birthday weekend and have to say what a great hotel. When they found out it was my birthday the hotel upgraded me to a suite. Staff were friendly and the food was amazing one of the best breakfast I have had. For the price I will now not stop in any other hotel...

Great location for working with one of my clients. Young staff, generally pleasant and helpful. Rooms small but quite workable. Showers and internet access generally good. One glitch on my last stay. The receptionist when she checked me in said, "We're here 24 hours if you need anything." After unpacking, it was clear that I needed to have a suit...

The Kingsley makes a great base for exploring London - one day we walked from the hotel all the way to Westminster Abbey - through Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, and down Whitehall. At night we walked easily to and from the theatre. We also enjoyed exploring Bloomsbury - a total treat to find the British Museum just a block away....

We had to make a last-minute booking for an overnight stop after a problem with another reservation. My only experience of Thistle hotels was from years ago, when I hadn't been impressed, so I was not holding out any great hopes for this, and had only really booked it as being convenient and less overpriced than many London hotels! We...

Only there for the one night but generally very good, nice clean and quiet room. Good location for the West end shopping and theatreland. Originally paid for room only but on arrival opted to pay for breakfast and was not disappointed, buffet was kept well stocked with freshly cooked food. All staff friendly and helpful. If need to stay in...

Excellent all round. Great room, brilliant location, you would have to be very fussy to have any complaints. Breakfast good too. Anca on Reception is very friendly and super helpful. Gave me a map of the area and helped me locate where I needed to go. Was on business but plan to go back with my husband. Couple of tube...

Visited this hotel for three nights from 30th oct checking out 2nd nov Housekeeping is very erratic, every day we had to complain to management about housekeeping being non existent or partly done. During the whole stay, I don't believe they ever completed it properly, only ever addressing items we had highlighted Management compensated us with drinks or a bottle...

Stayed here last night due to being in London for a meal with friends. The most amazing thing was that neither of us moaned or had anything negative to say about anything in this hotel, which must be a first. Everything was excellent. All staff were amazing. Food exactly how it should be. Will get husband to write another review...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
