We stayed in The Langham for a weekend in January. The hotel was ideally situated for both sightseeing and shopping. We found all staff we encountered to be helpful and polite. The rooms were a very good size and very well decorated. The hotel lobby and palm court were impressive and service superb. We spent a hour or so in...

We were down to London for the biggest concert of last year. I booked the room in the morning via Expedia and we were delighted by the location, the atmosphere and the welcome at reception. When asked what we were here to do, I told the receptionist about what we were coming to see. Her eyes widened and she rushed...

I whisked my wife away for a nights stay here last week... (Major brownie points for me!). The staff were friendly, attentive and courteous. The building was beautiful and I loved the fact that in the room there is a book all about the history of the hotel, a lovely touch ( although reading about the ghosts at 3am was...

We booked through secret escapes so got a really good deal. However, had we have paid full price I don't think we'd have been upset about it. This was a hotel that just showed its excellence in every department. The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was huge. Most importantly the staff were incredibly helpful, from organising some...

I have just had my second stay at the Langham London. This visit confirmed that truly is my favorite hotel in London. It's romantic, charming and has wonderful service. The public areas are enchanting; grand, elegant and stunning. Our room was immaculately clean, well stocked and sumptuous. The spa area has to be one of my favorite in London- well...

Spotlessly clean, flawless presentation and discrete, polite and welcoming service make this classic hotel a fine place to stay and with a great location too. The decor is supreme and the standard of service is intentionally accentuated. Very recommended.

I would have given this full marks but the service charge on a round of drinks in the bar after the 8 of us had eaten prevents me from doing this. The afternoon tea was extremely nice - one of the best - and the service was professional yet so friendly. No problem with the service charge at this point....

Beautiful hotel ideally situated for our weekend shopping trip. Worth paying the extra to include the Executive lounge facilities. Attentive staff and comfortable accommodation. Superb food, delightfully served. Loved it all.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
