Went there for afternoon tea with my sister, we booked in advance but was left waiting by the reception for quite a while when eventually someone noticed us and guided us to our seats. Had my bag with me as I wanted to get something out for my sister later on, when I asked if the staff could look after...

I have stayed at this lovely hotel many times and it is always a real treat. The staff are really helpful and very friendly. I would recommend upgrading so that you can use the club lounge…. Laurent Perrier Champagne on ice, excellent :)

What an elegant hotel, with the scent of huge bouquets of fresh roses filling the lobby! Large, quiet, comfortable room, good beds, and an amazingly spacious en suite bath. The staff could not have been more welcoming, pleasant or helpful. Breakfasts were unusually good for London, with a wide selection of foods. The hotel's location was, for us, absolutely perfect...

Everything was pretty good; lunch was nice, lovely presentation, corridors nice and quiet. Yet, the staff were just plain rude. Wanted my coat and bag hanged up while getting something to eat before leaving, the lady came with a hellishly grumpy attitude, and just snatched my belongings off my hands...nor did she even look at me when I went to...

We visited for my partners 50th birthday as we had never been tourists in our own capital both having lived here as students. The location was perfect being a stones throw from Oxford street but when you step inside you forget about the hustle & bustle outside. The upgraded suite came with free food and drink in a members lounge...

From the fresh scent when we walked in the door to the beautifully appointed spa, and chocolates at night, this is a delightful hotel in the heart of London. We loved the proximity to the Tube. Our room was spacious, the British tub wonderful for luxurious soaking, and walls thick enough to block out city sounds and assure whisper quiet....

Get a club room or above to have access to the lounge. The free food and drink easily cover the slightly higher price. Rooms are big in London terms. Staff are great. Two minutes walk to Oxford Street.

Fantastic property, interesting fact, i believe this was the very first hotel in the united kingdom to ever have an elevator in it. Either that or the bell boy was pulling my leg, i'm not sure. Either way, It will give me great pleasure to stay here should i visit London again

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
