I wasn't expecting a lot for a two star hotel as I wasn't going to stay there much due to travelling but the hotel worked out to be a little gem. Rooms were not too bad for the family but the staff were excellent and...More
Ridgemount Hotel is placed very convenient for public transport and only a short walk away from many interesting places like British Museum and Covent Garden.
The rooms are small, but clean and with good beds.
The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.
We had a wonderful stay at the Ridgemount hotel. Before our stay we had a problem that the hotel fixed without any issues. When we arrived we were welcomed by the most wonderful lady. The room was clean and the beds were great. We had...More
The location is great as are the staff. The hotel represents excellent value for money in a generally expensive city. Be prepared for the necessary compromises at this price point and this hotel is a real gem.

London isn’t a car friendly city so if possible I would advise against driving into London as it is very expensive to park. Also there is a daily congestion charge (Monday-Friday) of £11.50 per day for driving in central London. . However if you need to drive you can park outside our hotel after 6:30pm until 8:30am. And all day on Sunday. Our nearest car parks are:
Royal National Car Park

Bloomsbury Square car park

The royal national car park is closer and cheaper.

I don't live in London so I am no expert but here goes. From LGW use "Gatwick Express" into Victoria Station(30 mins)Then "Tube" to Warren Street and then 10min walk to hotel. Look at "Google" for Gatwick Express and London Underground. Hope this helps a little. We found the hotel extremely helpful in answering all sorts of questions. Whatever happens enjoy your trip to the UK.
