The Ridgemount is a wonderful place to stay in central London - and very affordable in comparison to most other hotels. The staff is so friendly and work very hard. The rooms are plain but have everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. Besides a full breakfast served daily, there is also free wifi. I've stayed here several times...

I HIGHLY recommend the Ridgemount. My daughter and I spent 6 great nights in London at the Ridgemount Hotel. Owners are on site and it's clear they care about their guests comfort. Upon check-in, the kind young man offered to carry our two roll-aboard bags up to the 5th floor. We called it our penthouse suite. No elevator. No problem...

This was my second enjoyable time spent at the Ridgemount. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is plentiful to get the day started and they start serving at 7 am. Helpful directions given to make your London visit a little more enjoyable. If you have the time, buses are the way to go - see lots more of the city...

Great location next to the University of London, easy to get around on foot or by public transport. I had a twin room with sink (bathroom down the hall) with TV and good Wifi. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb.

Stayed for one night only on a theatre visit. The hotel is very well located, on bus routes to everywhere and tube close by, but also very walkable. Had a small ensuite single, my friend a small double. Both rooms were comfortable, absolutely spotless and perfect for our short stay. Lots of families were staying. Everyone was kind and helpful....

We meant to give our kids (15 and 13) a London experience -- English breakfast, double-decker buses, Hydepark speakers' corner and all. We appreciated the tips of the knowledgeable staff to plan our explorations (or refine them). Thanks to the location, we succeeded in covering quite some territory on buses (Oyster card). The room was functional, clean, with all the...

I stayed in this nice and clean hotel five nights with my family and we felt really welcome. Thanks to the excellent position, we reached a lot of places by walk in less than 30 minutes. The staff is very kind and helpful, also the service is good. I absolutely recommend the Ridgemount Hotel!

Just come back from a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel -- second time of staying here -- will be back again -- the single room I stayed in was small but very clean -- I would recommend if you are a larger person like me and want a single occupancy ask for a room with a double bed...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
