Ours was a long 6 week stay at the hotel whilst our home nearby was renovated. We chose to stay in room 271, a small intimate space with quaint decor. The staff were unbelievably friendly and you can imagine, after such a long stay, we became part of the family. Every member of staff is extremely attentive, from the doorman...

I am so sorry that this situation occurred and can assure you I take this very personally as all the rooms have been decorated with care. In this case a recent water leak damaged the fabric and I immediately ordered a refurbishment. We urgently await delivery of materials. You did kindly say to Lorena on departure that you will return...

I love small intimate hotels and this was definitely it, in a great location whatever you wanted to do in London. The staff were kind and intuitive and I observed them showing interest and effort in all of their guests. I stayed for 8 nights minding my elderly parents whose health issues whilst they were there were well supported by...

Even if it were just a nice hotel, its location would make it worth recommending. Basil Street is like a secret passageway, running backstage of Harrods up to Harvey Nichols, walled by beautiful warm-brick period townhouses. You could not be more central, or more tucked away in quiet civilization. We had told the Capital that we were treating ourselves to...

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighbourhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
