My husband and I stayed 2 nights. This hotel is so lovely and inviting it is hard to leave and go see the sights. Upscale linens, fixtures, staff and location. We will stay here again and again. Just 2 blocks from the underground Kennsington station....More
Number sixteen is a nice, cozy hotel, ideally located in South Kensington, 5 minutes from the South Kensington Tube station, in a quiet little side street off Old Brompton Road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The single room is small, but the size...More

Haven't stayed at Number 16 but have at The Haymarket and so we decided to have afternoon tea in the garden at No. 16.
You certainly don't need dinner after tea at 16. Fantastic cakes and pastries with a excellent choice of teas.

And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. The hotel is on a quietist side street. There is street parking but I did not see many available spaces. You can probably double park near the door and someone from the hotel would be able to come out and help. Remember that this is Kensington; the traffic wardens are extremely watchful and are fond of booting improperly parked cars.
