Delightful boutique hotel in the ritzy South Kensington area of London. Two blocks from the tube station. Great service from attentive staff. Free WIFI. Positively charming parlors & garden so you're not stuck in a hotel room.
This is the second time we have stayed at Number Sixteen. Our first time we had a lovely room with garden access, double vanity and a large room. This time I opted for smaller accomodations, which disappointed. We were looking for a quiet room with...More
Great breakfast served on the back garden of the hotel. Great staff that takes care of anything you might need. The decoration is adorable - and it is not like a normal hotel. You feel like you are at home. Great Location, 1 block from...More
What immediately stands out is the very friendly manner of welcoming and treating guests. The rooms are all different as the hotel is a typical London building. Romm 301 is on the top floor, spacious, modern. Only issue is the very slippery bathroom floor (even...More

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

The hotel is on a quietist side street. There is street parking but I did not see many available spaces. You can probably double park near the door and someone from the hotel would be able to come out and help. Remember that this is Kensington; the traffic wardens are extremely watchful and are fond of booting improperly parked cars.
